Having the backdrop of the panama canal expansion is already unique in itself and adding crime and suspense to it just makes it more intriguing. Great Review!

Murder, mayhem and betrayal during the building of the Panama Canal. Shady business practices and dealings make for an interesting storyline. Congrats on being BOTD.

I hate it when endings end like that. It sort of takes away from a good book. Great job on the review!

I'm not really a fan of cliffhangers, but I think I might give this book a go after having read this review. Thanks :)

Great review. I do love a good mystery/thriller. That this one also has romance and plot twists makes it that much more appealing. The fact that this book ends in an abrupt cliffhanger does present a big drawback for me. I think this will be in my TBR waiting for a sequel. Thanks so much for sharing.

Max Burns and his team work in an attractive tropical area in Panama to expand the canal. Max leaves his family and his fiancée in the UK to see his dream come true; to build a mega project. The team find themselves in a merciless environment, filled with espionage, murder, secrets, conspiracy and romance. Read it! You wouldn't regret it.

Great review! It makes the negative side of humans sound so interesting... I'm worried to the state of my mind because of the "cliffhanger" afterwards but i still would like to try it.

Glad to hear there isn't too much technical jargon in this one; the plot synopsis had me worried that this would be rather boring given the premise. Glad you liked this one so much!

Glad about the author avoiding use of excessive jargon. Technical descriptions bore me. Thanks for the review.
