I find the central theme in The Cocaspore Project mind- blowing. I think William Claypool has, by this narrative, started a conversation on the possible scientific eradication of this plant that has caused more harm than good to humanity. Great review, CaitlynLynch!

A biochemist trying to destroy all of the world's cocaine and now must run for his life? Sounds crazy! I'm glad that the storyline seems plausible and the author kept your attention throughout! Don't think I'd enjoy drug-centered story or ones that don't have at least one strong female character. Too bad about this and the errors here, but I'm glad that you were able to enjoy the read though!

I'm hooked! I am a Robin Cook fan, so this is right up my alley. Plus I really hate drugs and the evil that they bring into the world.

Thanks for the exciting review, CaitlynLynch!

Phenomenal book! I was amazed at the skill of the author William Claypool, and the storytelling depth he had to unfold in this book. The storyline kept me wanting more page after page. It is hard to find a good book like this with such quality descriptive writing.

I agree with your assessment that the female characters should have been given more of a backstory and plot line. I think that this oversight is due to our society only seeing women as love interests and not as real characters. I do think that some of the book could be a little too formulaic, but I like the science in it. I also enjoyed that the book dealt with topics like drug gangs and the military bureaucracy.

I like the storyline of this thriller, it's quite unique and sounds like a very interesting read. I just hope Dr. Paul Sloan didn't loose any of his loved ones to the fight for a better future.

Thank you for a great honest review REVDATA, there is spelling mistakes. I love the idea that coca plants being destroyed by fungus. The story gets you hooked in the beginning prologue. Too bad there is no strong female characters.
Thanks William.

Thanks for the interesting review. This sounds like an interesting book. A bit disappointing that there aren't any major female characters, but I'll give it a try.

The review makes me want to read the story. It is science thriller with a really good cause. Fighting the drug trade from the lab. The main character has invested interest in that his son died of drugs.

The reviewer mentions that there are a spelling and grammar mistakes that can be fixed , but that makes the story weaker. It is disappointing that the female characters were not more involved in the story line with subplots. However it sounds overall the make for a good read.

Very thorough and well written review. The storyline is really engaging. Trying to stop the cocaine industry is a far stretch from my point of view. Hope to see how the project unfolds.

With a plausible plot about the drugs trade and those involved in it as well as those trying to combat it, this sounds like a very suspenseful thriller.
