What an awesome review! Sampling, I also appreciated the suspense and the emotional depth. After reading the first chapter, I only gleaned the intrigue but, like you, I did notice the dominating and manipulative nature of Beatrice in her discussion with her younger twin Anne. I agree that this is a great read for psychological thriller fans.

I enjoy thrillers but romance is not really my liking. From your review, this book seems to be action and suspense filled.

Howl of Banshee seem to be an interesting and thrilling story.
My interest is how Lou will be able to rescue Kate from the kidnappers.

Nice Review

"Howl of the Banshee" is a title that evokes a sense of ancient history, reminiscent of something from the Roman Empire. I can't quite guess what the author had in mind, but maybe I'll discover more within the book. The story combines elements of romance and thrills, centered around the kidnapping of a detective's fiancée just before their wedding. The intriguing plot and suspenseful review have definitely piqued my interest, and I can't wait to dive in. Thanks for the review i enjoyed reading it. Congratulations to the author on being selected as the Book of the Day

I have always loved detective novels. There is just something gripping about the unfolding of the plot. “Howl of the Banshee” by Dave McKeon is an exciting thriller starring Lou Gault and Kate O’Grady, who are secret detectives. Congratulations on BOTD.

Unbeknownst to them, danger looms. Kate’s involvement in a mission that led to the imprisonment of three English smugglers has triggered a vengeful plot by the smugglers’ wives: Beatrice Hastings, Anne More, and Evelyn Maxwell. With a plan spearheaded by the ruthless Beatrice, the trio kidnaps Kate en route to her wedding, demanding ransom from Lou.
- Looks like the wives are more ruthless than the smugglers, which is Intrigueing. It could be because of their deep love towards their husbands or maybe they wanted an excuse to show how much more vengeful women could be. A novel worth smuggling to a corner and reading. The review was well worth the steal of my time. Thank you.

The reviewer well showed the aspects of the book. Multiple events, romance and drama. I think the story, especially with the revenge plot, will make the events more exciting. In addition to the multiple locations of the events, which enriches the story line. Congrats on BOTD
