This is a very candid and detailed review. You were also very careful to avoid any spoilers. WEll done! I am glad there are no graphic details of violence. it sounds like the kind of book I will enjoy reading. I have added it to my 'to-be-read' list. Cheers!

Thank you for your encompassing review of The Broadcast by Liam Fialkov. The plot looks really engaging but somewhat bulky to my taste.

The book really sounds amazingly dashing. The simple words/sentences used in writing that made it easy to understand, the twists and turns the author gave that made the four main characters connected, and the TV show that somehow sounds mysteriously intriguing that when reading the book it feels like it has something to do of solving something unsolved or finding out something that hasn't been found and wants to be found. As a fan of action, crime-scene, and mystery solving I guess this book does fit my taste. I can't wait to have and read another of the author's books. But there is a catch though. I do agree to fact that a story always has 3 wonderful parts: the beginning, the middle and the ending. So if the ending is that much plain or more likely narrative, I would really suggest to give it a bit action. Maybe it would've been given a better ending or if the author's thoughts hasn't ended it there yet probably he could add a sequel to it. That's why I also gave it a rate of 3 out of 4.

Reading the synopsis had me hooked. The reviewer was hooked as well, and gave a positive review.
This book reminds me of the 1980's TV movie, The Girl on the Milk Carton. I love an updated plot to a mystery that maybe ripped from the headlines.

hat a fascinating premise! As a reader who majored in Communications with an emphasis in Media and Journalism, not to mention a viewer who LOVES true crime television, I'm very intrigued by the idea of a tv show showing "footage" of long-closed cold cases. I'm also curious how certain characters factor into the story. So, I guess I'll have to find the time to read this... Thanks for the introduction! i would like to start reading it now...

Wow! Seems like a very good book to read for me. Thank you for a very good and thorough review. Although, I’m not a supporter of “rushed ending”, but definitely, I will read this book. :techie-studyingbrown:

Thank you for the great review! Although an interesting plot, personally I think I would have trouble following along the storyline. The TV show and characters sound like a good mystery thriller just not for me.

The book seems to be pretty interesting and engaging. I like thrillers and especially psychological ones that will keep you on edge up to the end and this book promises exactly that. To go back in time to show footages of cold cases on a TV show is a very good idea. While I was reading the review I asked myself the question "How?" I guess I will have to find this out having read the book. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

I put this book on my want to read list. This book seems so captivating from the clips that I read online through Amazon. I love books that have mystery, thrill, and fantasy. I enjoy books a lot better when I can get lost in the book. :techie-studyingbrown: :techie-studyinggray:

A psychological thriller that involves so many interesting facets (time travel, true crime, conspiracy theories, spiritual journeys) sounds fascinating. I'm certain I could bypass the grammar issues though!

Even though I am not into crime and mystery novels, I find unique the whole idea of a TV show that goes back in time to portray murders. Too bad the author tells rather than shows. Thanks for the review!
