The idea of a couple going to a dangerous place for their honeymoon sounds a bit cliche to me, but the idea of special glasses helping someone connect with spirits is unique enough to make the story somewhat interesting for me. Thanks!

I like books that emphasizes descriptive details about the story. I think this is is a good book to read because it involves supernatural. Congrats. Thanks for this review.

I was actually thinking of reading another book and searching for it. By reading your review, I am excited to read this series. Thank you so much for suggesting to read the previous copies of this series.

Great review... I like how you summarised the book and also the points you made. I like the mystery part of the book.

I understand that when the story´s good you sometimes crave more from the book, but I also enjoy reading novellas and getting it all in a bite-size piece. And I love the voodoo topic!
I´m glad the author took the time to catch up the reader in the previous installments because oftentimes that´s a problem.
Seems like a very enjoyable book, thanks for your review!

The title itself would have given me the impression that the story is of a thriller/horror genre. And that is not my kind of book to be honest.
But based on the very long description provided by the reviewer, it does sound more like a suspense/detective kind of story fit for young adults as it comes in series with supernatural/occult themes (like goosebumps?). Though it is a hard sell for me as I personally tend to veer away from such stories. What I don't get though is that, why would the author insert a honeymoon storyline in an island named as "isle of the dead?" Could have been given more thought...

I like the crime aspect but I wonder if the supernatural elements will add to the story? Perhaps I am just too sceptical.... In any case, I enjoyed reading your review, thanks.

A murder mystery on the Island of the Dead, with a heavy dose of voodoo. Who could resist that? Thanks for the honest review.

Love the sound of this novel. It definitely sounds like the right type of mystery to suck me in. Add in the supernatural elements in the story too, which makes it sound like an even better read to me. :techie-studyinggray:

Thanks for the review. I love nevellas and this seems interesting. Even though I’m not one one who reads the book out of sequence I will be sure to add this to my list. I would prefer to read them in order. Obviously it’s ironic that they are going to an island of the dead and then dead people are showing up. Look forward to reading the series.

I thought at first that this book genre was horror. So i did not dare to read its description nor synopsis. But, upon reading your review on Miller's view:la isla dela muerte, i realize that i shouldn't have judge the book first. The saying that "dont judge the book by its cover" is indeed true . Because of your review i realize that this book is my cup of tea!♥ im so excited to read this!♥

A detective with special glasses to communicate with spirits - that's an unusual premise. However, I am not a fan of the novella genre since they generally don't provide much meat to sink your teeth into. Thanks for the honest review!

If you go to The Island of the Dead for your honeymoon, you are definitely looking for trouble. And you know what they say about that... If you go looking for trouble, you are bound to find it. :lol2: This book sounds interesting but I'll have to pass because it is not my cup of tea. Especially the voodoo glasses and spirits. Spooky! Thanks for the review

Mystery crime thrillers with a touch of supernatural are my thing. It would be interesting how Detective Miller will use his "special powers" to prove his innocence. Thank you for your review!

Quite an interesting book. I like the supernatural component. The suspense is good too.
