To be honest, I have never encountered the term "Psi-Fi Thriller" before and therefore have no idea what it was supposed to mean. But after reading the description, I was intrigued despite myself and, while the storyline doesn't sound original, it is catching enough to entice. Congratulations on BOTD!

A story involving Rusputin's descendant sounds intriguing. I wonder how Rudy connects with him.

Thank you for the great review.

Great review! It seems like Rasputin's Nephew has a mix of suspense, history, and science that would appeal to readers who enjoy complex plots. I can understand how the technical parts might be tough to follow, but the action and mystery seem to make up for it. Your note about the graphic scenes and the abundance of characters is helpful too—it’s good to know what to expect. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this one!

I've been tempted to read Mr. Seifer's books for quite some time now, and perhaps with this review, which I found very informative, now is the time. This kind of potboiler is right up my alley!

A technical book described as one that involves the mind with the plot consisting of page turners and rather psychological aspects. I would love to read it to enjoy this unique writing style.

What an awesome review! I sampled the introduction to Rudy and Chess and the scene of Carl's murder Rudy witnessed. This felt very intriguing. But your review makes me feel even more intrigued as you mention psychokinesis and conspiracies to track. I would also love to read the technical details you found overwhelming - I may feel the same, but fun to test if they fly as high above my head as they did with you. :)

This is an excellent review of Rasputin's Nephew by Marc J. Seifer. The reviewer has done a fantastic job of highlighting both the strengths and challenges of the book, offering a balanced perspective. I especially appreciate the clear explanations of the plot's complexity and the thoughtful comments about the technical details that might overwhelm some readers. The review is insightful, honest, and provides a great overview of what potential readers can expect. Well done!

What I like most in this book is how it touches on the paranormal, a topic that attracts me a great deal. If you love the topics of ESP, telekinesis, and telepathy, this story will surely engage you through the end.

Today's BOTD is an action-packed psi-fi novel with complex characters and a storyline with a lot of twists & turns. Although it's not the one for me, readers interested in conspiracies, the paranormal, and Russia will enjoy it. Thanks so much for your thorough review! :-)

Thank you for your detailed and frank review.
Ah! To read or not to read the psi-fi novel "Rasputin's Nephew" by Marc Seifer ?
I love convoluted futuristic novels, but what to do about all the technical details?
Conspiracies. Russia. Action. Characters...
The illustration on the cover...hm... OK, I plan to read it!
Great review and congrats on BOTD!

I look forward to reading Rasputin's Nephew by Marc Seifer. I wonder why Ruby was doing the research on this case. Was there any driving force behind this, or was it just a character assigned this role? I guess I'll find out after reading.

"Rasputin's Nephew" by Marc Seifer is a gripping, action-packed thriller exploring paranormal phenomena, conspiracy, and intrigue. With well-developed characters and a complex plot, this book earns 3 out of 4 stars, recommended for fans of sci-fi and suspense, but cautioning readers for graphic content.

Would Rudy be able to balance between his personal and professional life and I wonder who keeps destroying books related to his research.

While this book does look interesting, I think it will be a bit too intense and complicated for me.
