The story follows John McEwan, a musically talented extrovert, and Emma Simon, a deaf introvert, as they get involved in a conflict that could affect their lives. This was not my favorite genre, but nevertheless, there are people who love to read this book. I enjoyed reading their story.

The book sounds interesting. The fact that it touches matters of national or public security makes me eager to read it. It explains how poisoning water supply is far much a bigger threat than the use of missiles and firearms. The acknowledgement of meticulous editing and the pointing out that it relates with what happens in parts of the real world. This is a great review.

Great review and thought-provoking. Imagining poisoning water supply of the whole city! This is an eye opener to me knowing that firearms and missiles are not the only weapons that can be used to terrorize a city. Jack Winnick is a specialist in captivating his audience.

Amazingly detailed review, yet no spoilers! Masterful work. This really captured my interest even though I usually do not love historical fiction or books with terrorism/warfare or other such heavy and horrifying topics. Even though I have never heard of this series before, I will definitely check it out now because quick-paced books are definitely up my alley and complex character dynamics appeal to me. The review gives off emotions very well and really gets one intrigued about the whole storyline. Amazing work from both the reviewer and author!

You gave such a wonderful review. I don't really know what can be more dangerous than water poisoning. It is indeed a crime taken to another level. It real feels good meeting Lara and Uri again.

The review is written in a structured manner. The emotional aspect between the characters is considered the most attractive element of the story. However, the plot is not suitable for me, it is a bit stereotypical. So I'll skip. Congrats on BOTD

A fascinating write-up that's different from the usual terrorism niche. Targeting a water system with poison as a wide scale attack is uniquely dangerous and can wipe out a large city or country before it's noticeable with short term side effects on the environment. The story is quite enjoyable even with the lengthy and cumbersome plot.

The narrative of Waterworks, the fifth installment in the Lara-Uri series, skillfully interweaves real and accessible scientific and technological elements with the dynamics of warring nations, resulting in a compelling storyline featuring well-developed characters and articulate language. The geopolitical complexities portrayed in the plot synopsis evoke a sense of profound intrigue. I extend my gratitude for the insightful review and extend my congratulations to the author, Jack Winnick, on BOTD!

The idea of poisoning a city's water supply as a terror tactic is terrifyingly plausible. The reviewer mentioned how the story balances high-stakes action with the personal lives of the spies, which adds an interesting layer.
