A book in a series which can be read as a standalone is always a winner. Hillary's character seems loveable and unraveling and walking the journey with her must be awesome. I also like the fact that all loose ends were tied up at the end of the book. Well done on the review.

I like mysteries and this sounds like a good one. I also like how the writer showed the child's character and cared for details.

A ghostwriter, a dark family secret, a vacation in Ireland. It sounds like a sweet mystery book I would like to read, but being a sequel, I may have to get my hands on the previous books because I'm too inquisitive.

Though the book seem interesting, I'm never one that enjoys family crisis copies. Your review is compelling, nice job!

This novel is not too bad. I'm currently reading a book by June Gillam for the first time. After reading the introduction, I thought the book sounded intriguing. It sounds dull at first but picks up in the second half. It is a good mystery tale with some ghost stories and Irish history.

I am fascinated by how Bridget's outspoken protests against a disreputable developer may have put her in harm's way.
I congratulate the author for Book of the Day!

Ireland is a beautiful country and makes a great setting for any story. June Gillam seems to use Ireland's most prominent characteristics for her book.

I'm usually wary about reading books in a series out of order, but it's good to know that this one stands on its own. The aspect of dark family secrets popping up makes it interesting.

I have been planning to pick up and read this book for quite a while already. The characters and the author’s eye for details appeals to me. Naturally, I am also curious of what the dark family secrets might be! It is good to hear that this book works as a standalone, since it being a part of series is the only reason why I haven’t read it yet. Thanks for the interesting review!

I’m looking forward to digging into this book to find out the dark family secrets coming into light as Hillary brings her family and friend to her roots. What harm awaits them? I like reading suspense and mystery books and this one seems to be right up my alley.

The family-secrets novel is engaging to me. Would Hillary find a shocking revelation about her Irish ancestors? It seems that I will enjoy the cuteness of Claire's aura in this book. How does their belated honeymoon end up be? Congratulations to the author on BOTD!
