The review is well-written, with all positive and negative aspects of the book mentioned. I am very much interested in reading fast-paced thrillers. This Lara and Uri book is one such book which will hook you up from start to end.

A good action thriller story featuring Lara and Uri can be found in the book "Waterworks" by Jack Winnick. In this book, Lara and Uri are summoned when they are on a vacation after a threat of terrorist attacks.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

It seems Lara and Uri may never get sufficient time to rest, as they are called just when they were on vacation as recommended by the doctor. The fact that the terrorists are growing more nefarious makes the race to stop them more urgent and I cannot wait to see how they will sift through the information from both the terrorists and freedom fighters.
Many thanks for the amazing, informative review. :tiphat: :tiphat: :tiphat:

I liked reading this book, and agree with your overall assessment that the combination of fiction and realism makes this book seem more plausible, which is definitely a scary thought. Great review!

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting thriller novel following two government agents, Lara and Uri, who after being informed of strange events surrounding a water processing and testing plant outside of Los Angeles, are tasked with investigating any potential terrorist involvement. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

Thank you for your informative review. I am usually hesitant to read a book from a series out of order, but your review helped me see I won't be lost starting with Waterworks.

This book elevates the terror of terrorism by focusing on the potential devastation of poisoning a city's water supply. Lara and Uri must work independently and in disguise to prevent further attacks. The historical context of the settings adds depth, making the story both educational and thrilling. Congrats!

The married life of undercover agents or spies is a pain. Fiction or no fiction, who wants to be discussing starting a family with a partner only to be called out for a mission? Very frustrating. It reminds me of the "Mr & Mrs Smith movie" of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. I hope Lara and Uri don't get to a time where they'll begin to suspect each other especially if their superiors are now asking them to work independently. Great series, I must say, and a great enjoyment for lovers of fast paced spy stories.

Well, action-packed novels are my best. I would like to know if the Lara and Uri couple will identify the killer poison of the anti-American thugs. Congrats! This is absolutely a must-read for me. I want to know the details of each event in the book.

"The Waterworks" by Jack Winnick made me understand that firearms and explosives are not the only life-threatening, society-wrecking inventions in society. The author exposes the silent but deadly killer, which is water poisoning. I also appreciate the suspense and action in the book. It is worth spending time on.

“Waterworks” by Jack Winnick is a fictional, but possible, story about a terrorist attack on the Los Angeles water supply. Teams of terrorists that were members of an Iranian anti-American group added Polonium to the water supply by dropping it in the water from bridges in socks that they used to bring the poison into the U.S. Lara and Uri were already in Los Angeles on vacation, so they were deployed to track down the terrorists and find their leader in Iran. This is an action thriller that I did not want to put down until the last page. This book is Jack Winnick’s 5th book in this series and all of his books are well-written and have kept me on the edge of my seat until the last page. I highly recommend this book.

I found this review to be spot-on in many ways. The fifth installment in the Lara and Uri series is a thrilling page-turner that masterfully combines real-world concerns with fiction.

The review highlights the terror and plausibility of the plot revolving around the poisoning of a city's water supply. The realistic depiction of a threat like this makes the story even more gripping. I also appreciated the straightforward explanations of the scientific and technological elements, which made the complex plot easy to follow without feeling bogged down by jargon.

One aspect the review touched upon that resonated with me was the balance between the personal lives of the protagonists and the intense, action-packed storyline. As a woman, I found the exploration of Lara and Uri's relationship, their desire to start a family, and the unique challenges they face as a married couple working undercover added depth to the narrative. It humanized the characters and made their struggles more relatable.
