This is an exciting and thought-provoking story. What would you do if you knew for certain you would die in a week? I also read and reviewed this book, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Congratulations to the author for writing this powerful book chosen as BOTD. Great review! Thanks to the reviewer.

The concept of the book is very innovative and fresh. I would like to know when I will die. But as suggested in the book this can be used improperly. Congrats BOTD! I will read this.

I'm sure science is working on making such devices in real life and I'm pretty sure they only intend to try and make the world a better place for all of us. But whatever is good can be used for evil too, I'm not sure guns were made to be used on fellow humans but that's what's happening now. I'm going to read the book. How we react to a situation is pure choice

I am intrigued by the coverage of gun ownership. I don’t often see this issue in novels, so I think it will be an interesting read. Thanks for the review!

I like the unusual plot. One can only imagine what the world will turn into if an invention like that materializes.

What a great premise! How would we spend our last days if we knew exactly when we were going to die? I may give this one a look. Thanks for the review, Sarah. :techie-studyingbrown:

Really great review. Just by reading your descriptions and opinion of the book, I have gotten very interested in it. Additionally, I have not read anything by Van Fleisher before so this should be very interesting indeed.

I started reading this book when it was previously offered by online bookclub. I enjoyed the first few chapters but quickly realized it was thinly disguised anti-gun rhetoric and had no desire to continue.

I loved this book; I agree it was hard to put down. The intertwining topics of mortality, fear, and gun ownership are presented realistically, and the characters were superbly developed. Sometimes it is easy to predict what a character might do or say, but not in this novel. They had unlikely conversations and friendships, changed their minds on issues throughout the book, and grew in their beliefs and ideologies like actual people would. Great review on a great book!

A book that predicts a person’s health status in the nearest future sounds like the opening of the window to diversified compromising decisions as well as resolutions. A one of a kind review.

Great review of an intriguing book! I already have some definite feelings about gun control, but what would I do if I knew I was going to die very soon? Maybe I'll find out when I read this futuristic thriller! Thanks for the free book.

Captivating! I wonder how I'd feel if I ever get hold of the watch that would tell me when I'd die. It'll be somewhere between scared and anxious especially if I'd die in awful manner. Lovely plot.

This is definitely an intriguing premise. Taking advantage of knowing your time of death through exacting revenge is interesting. I can imagine the ethical issues. Thank you for the fine review!
