This looks like an enjoyable book to read, what with the thrill and the well-paced plots that are all led to a natural, unrushed end.
Another incentive is that I am on the side of banning gun ownership. What I am against is the device that tells you when you will die. That is not good. Hopefully, the author favors the same point of view.
Thank you for the thorough review!

This is a great book. Everyone always wish they get that last moment of their life before death. But, it's quite interesting to see some get and use it on a vengeance tour. Nice review.

The plot is really interesting, and all those controversial questions that you pointed out also make me want to read it!

I don't think I would want to read this book due to the school shooting, but I do like how it explores this controversial topic.

Thank you very much for your review. It was very informative and entertaining.

Wasn't this a movie? I can't remember the name of the movie but it had some of the same elements. I read the sample and now coupled with your review, I will definitely read this book. Now I have to find the movie as well! lol!

This book is very interesting and, theorectically, it is already possible to predict with a fair amount of certainty how long one is likely to live. Not with the accuracy described in this book, however, I'm sure that might be possible soon. The issue of gun ownership is a question that interests me, as I live in South Africa where this is a sensitive subject as the government makes it very difficult for honest citizens to acquire a gun but military weapons are available and are used in crime and violence many times on a daily basis here. I will be interested to read the arguments in the book. From my years as a soldier in Africa I do know that the old saying that if guns are banned, then only criminals are armed on the streets, is very true here. I look forward to reading this book, with all the issues that make up the plot. Your review was compelling and interesting to read.

Good review. I also loved this book. There are so many times where I was surprised at the outcome. It makes one think what would you do?

Final Notice by Van Fleisher sounds really interesting. I love the great idea of the smart watch predicting one's life span but I wouldn't like to use it. Congratulations to the author on the BOTD. Great review.

Such an interesting book to read .It tells about the work of the doctors who make a watch that tells about when you die .Which is amaizing!!
It's such an excellent book as it tells about when you're going to die using a watch.
I like it so much as I'll be able to spend a lot of time with my loved as I get to know my death is near unlike those with revenges.
Such a wonderful review.Thanks!!

Gun ownership is a sensitive topic, and it would definitely be interesting to see how the author addresses both sides of the argument. Still, the notion of the "final notice" – that one will be able to predict the time of death, barring any sudden accidents – is an interesting one. Thanks for the review!

An interesting fiction story that is close to reality can be found in the book "Final Notice" by Van Fleisher, which revolves around a wearable gadget that can predict the remaining life of the person who is wearing it. Nice thing is that the story is set in the U.S and depicts the effect of the wearable gadget on old people having gun licence who have very less time to live. The story appears quite entertaining.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

I like the part where you mentioned we really may not know people the way we think we do. Maybe the fullness of themselves would surface when they are presented with such information as 'the final notice'—my thoughts though. This is a good review. Congrats on BOTD!

I loved this book. Its theme was topical and many of today's issues were discussed. It's about a device that tells you are within ten days dying. Vince and Trudi Fuller chat together at breakfast or driving in the car or over a meal with friends while forming their opinions. Their dog Miles gets savaged by a pit bull owned by two bullies making this one threat too many for the couple and they decide to buy a gun. Leading to discussions about the gun lobby.
