I am sold to the idea of reading this book by the simple words that the "case is not only proving to be like a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma". Basically, everything that makes this genre my favorite is promised in the same book! I am not even scared away by the prediction of "quite literally - be the death of" the main character. Thanks for the gift and congrats on BOTD!

The teenaged son is suspected to have killed his parents? And the police chief is being harassed! I am a huge thriller fan so I can't wait to know what happens.

Engaging review! The intricate plot and character dynamics kept me hooked. Your mention of Dora Gravnick's character intrigued me, adding a unique dimension to the story. Despite some editing concerns, your endorsement of the fast-paced thriller elements makes it a tempting read. Thanks for the insightful review!

Thank you for a well-crafted review.
Gravnick sounds filled with mystery, suspense and drama.
The plot sounds super engaging!
I am curious as to who murdered the husband and wife and also about Enrnie's brutal beating. I am very curious about whether the victim's 13-year-old son was involved in this dark crime and if so why???
Congratulations to the author!

This is a gripping and suspenseful mystery novel with a blend of family tragedy and a personal threat to the Chief of Police. The element of danger and the complexity of the case make it intriguing.

Fantastic review, Adedayo! From sampling this book, I agree with your enthusiasm about the high quality of characterisation. But unlike your choice of Dora as the favorite character, I instantly took to Ernie. Both because I am a dog person and he chose a dog bark ringtone for police calls and because for seven years he has been spending Sundays with his paralysed mother instead of pursuing his private life.

"Gravnick" by Bob Herpe. An interesting book, talks about Ernie Gravnick's, the Chief of police who's life is about to change. This book is a crime thriller book. Ernie still never knew the culprit but fell in love with the suspect. Ernie don't know the motive behind the attack on the couple. I love the characters like Dora Gravnick, Ernie’s mother. Congrats on your #BOTD.

I'm definitely reading this as there so much intriguing things happening it seems. A good thriller is exactly what I was looking for and it seems like I found it. Dora sounds like an interesting woman and I can't wait to find out more about her and her past. Thanks for an excellent review.

Always on the lookout for a good crime thriller! I love that this book has intriguing suspects, a 13-year-old and a femme fatale, for starters. I also appreciate that this book has endearing support characters. Sounds like a book worth checking out!

A husband and his wife have been brutally beaten to death, is their son the culprit? Chief of Police Ernie Gravnick has been tasked with resolving the case. This engaging and suspenseful book has a very particular character that makes you love her, Ernie's mother, who unfortunately is paralyzed from the neck down but whose intelligence and tongue add so much to the whole story.

After reading the intriguing review, I can't wait to start reading Bob Herpe's "Gravnick". My interest has been sparked by the complex plot and the unusual romantic angle involving Ernie and the main suspect.
