As I mentioned earlier, Kim Ekemar is a great author and narrator. The narration he employed was compelling, powerful, and suspenseful. He switched between the first-person narration and the third-person narration to give us the feeling of knowing exactly what Matthias thought and how his thoughts influenced his actions. The writing was wonderful, a feat that I highly credit and praise the author for.
I have never thought of this as being the purpose of switching narrative voices, but you are totally right.
And I have a soft spot for well-developed crime thrillers, so this is a must-read for me.
Thank you for a great review!

This sounds like an intriguing book! I am somewhat curious as to how Matthias lost ten fingers and his face! I hope he gets the revenge he seeks against whoever did that to him! Thanks for the wonderful review!

Callaghan, vol. 1 & 2 by Kim Ekemar seems like a great book. I read the first book in the series and it was mind-blowing. I can't wait to give this a shot. Congratulations on the BOTD. Great review!

This book comes highly recommended, but after I started reading first book, I realized that it strongly reminds me of the movie I wasn't particularly fond off. Unfortunately, I will have to pass it, but congratulations on BOTD non the less!

What makes it look thrilling is the author's unique narrative style. I’m hoping future plots will provide the reader with this. Ends with a promise of continued good reading but a sense of cliffhanging. I enjoyed this book, the characters are real and what makes me more excited is the story. Congrats for BOTD

I like the dedication the author has for historical events. Reading the first pages, I can also admire his writing style. The genre is unfortunately not for me.

I could tell from reading a section of the novel that it's not only extremely well written but probably an excellent story. However, I'm going to skip it at the moment since it appears that it's mostly a novel about revenge and retribution, topics in which I'm not interested at the moment. But, perhaps when the world is in a better place than the present moment, and I'm in a better head, I'll have another look at it. Nevertheless, congrats on BOTD.

I enjoy the use of shifting perspectives in a novel coz they give me different views of the same storyline, hence, enhance my understanding. Great review.

Mathias's story is so overwhelming.
This is an extremely charming novel with an excellent plot. The start promptly brings the peruser into the intricate trap of secret that encompasses the circumstance that Matthias is in. The creator has done a ton of cautious arrangement and arranging by investigating numerous specialized parts of the plot and by cross-checking the coordinations of Matthias' various personalities and his interrelationships with different characters.

From just reading the introduction by the author, I could tell this was going to be a story filled with suspense and intrigue. The author's mention of "face transplants" made me remember the old movie "Face Off". What a unique concept. I feel like these books would be a set of stories that I would really enjoy.
