It's clear that the main character, Relic, makes this whole story come to life. This fact, as well as all the twists and turns in the plot that you promise, make me think that this book has a definite place on my bookshelves. Thanks for the review.

What a unique main character! And you're totally right: riches show either the best or the worst of people.
Thank you for your enthusiastic review!

I don't usually like reading books that are considered standalones in a bigger series, but this sounds like it has a pretty interesting plot – I'm quite fond of descriptive prose. Thanks for the great review!

I am curious to know what happened to Dylan? Who were the men chasing them with a gun and what was their motivation to pursue them with a firearm. Thank you for your well-written review. Congrats to the author on BOTD.
