At first this sounded like a mystery novel, but the inclusion of business ideas to stay out of trouble with money issues is ... strange. I wouldn’t know how to classify this book but as a hybrid mystery and self help - like a weird Hallmark story maybe. Sounds interesting.

Thanks for the great review! The book sounds very intriguing, and I can NIW see where the title came from and how appropriate it is t o the story! My only drawback is the sexual content and language. I will probably pass on this one.

I like crime and mystery novels - although the fact that it doesn't have that much action makes me a little worried! Seems like you enjoyed learning new facts about pearls from the book. Thanks for the great review!

This sounds like a great book. I'm curious to find out more about what happened to Sydney, and what Diamond did when (if at all) she found Sydney guilty. Congratulations on becoming today's BOTD.

Hmmm. Does crime pay for Sydney? How will Diamond handle this? I see here an alluring crime story with many side benefits.

I like Ayotte's writing style and ability to incorporate supporting characters in and out of stories without interrupting the pace. Suspenseful charcter centered books are my favorite, and the crime mystery genre seals this #BOTD for me. Your review is very insightful and highlights enough to draw my attention. Great job.

Such a wonderful storyline. The review is admirable and full of suspense.
I'm tempted to read the book and find out what happened to Malone.

I enjoy crime thrillers, especially the ones that focus on white collar crimes like this. Your review gives a lot of insight in the book. Thank you for the review!
