This is the second book I read by Julien Ayotte. First one was Disappearance. That was an amazing mystery. And so is this one, The Treasure. A well written story with great details and interesting characters. I can say that I agree everything this review says.

I've never read a treasure hunt story before, but I must say this sounds interesting. Something a bit different to what I normally read. I like the fact that's there's a bunch of genres mixed in the book which will make it fun to read. Congrats on BOTD. Thanks for the review.

All the themes in this book are just enticing. Romance, adventure and love. And actually a columnist's life woven with all these themes sounds like a great read. Thank you for this detailed review.

One of the best things I've noticed in the treasure is that the language used is easy to follow up. Surprisingly they are bits of romance, suspense and danger when new characters were introduced. It's a ten over ten from me

I like that the book combines elements of adventure, romance with suspense. It is commendable that the characters of journalist Raynolds and Colonel Woodrow are lively because it is something I expect from a book of this type.

How a News paper columnist and a Colonel will be able to unravel the murder case is something I would like to know and I also love treasure hunt stories. Thanks for this review, it was well explained.

Treasure hunting is a classic but adventurous subject for a book. I like the fact that the author uses simple language with such complicated topics like ship navigation and laws. Congrats!

When the climax of a book comes around too quickly it can be a bit of a let down. On the other hand, this book seems to have sufficient plot twists and unexpected turns to forgive the ending and just enjoy the build-up. I love the different facets that this story presents and am sure it is an excellent read.

I think we all enjoy a good hidden treasure story and, for me at least, adding a little romance makes it even better. I'm glad you mentioned that the navigation terminology is not very complicated, because that often deters me from reading these books. Also, the fact that the book contains little profanities or sexual scenes could make it a good pick for young readers.
Thank you!

This sounds like a cool story. I like that the main characters are older and the book isn’t risqué. I’ll check it out.
