This sounds like a very intriguing story. I hope good wins over evil here. Drug and Jan trafficking is not good at all. I have to take a closer look at this book.

The cover and name is definitely catching and the review was written excellently! The piece I read was very throught-provoking and I am adding this book to my shelves. Jaun came from a very bad background and eventhough he was ripped away from the one thing that could possibly change his future, he kept pushing through even when things kept getting worse!

C. Ross Dutton described Juan's harsh upbringing in a very believable way. I especially like how Juan's naivety is described. The author thoroughly approached the preparation of writing the novel because his knowledge of the world of crime can be clearly seen from what he wrote.

Good job on the review it clearly stated the positive and negative aspects of the book. Reading about the thrills of a drug cartel sounds interesting. Congrats on BOTD!

Very intriguing title made me eager to read the description of this book and I certainly wasn't disappointed. I believe what we have here is the psychological thriller of the best kind, showcasing the path character had to take, throwing morality and ethics on the way to become who he is now. Essentially , it is the story of a person destroyed by circumstances of life. Congratulations on BOTD!

It’s sad that some children, like Juan, never see the true value of their worth and instead succumb to the environment around them. An amazing character study on how this tragedy happens.

I admire the storyline because it is very close to reality. I understand what Juan went through and what could be the outcome of the growing up. I will love to read this book. Nice review.

Can’t imagine what it’s like to grow up fast. So sad how often it happens and how Juan, like others I’m sure, makes bad decisions. Kind of creepy that he embraces evil. I don like that Spanish words are included, but the harsh topics of human trafficking, drugs, and weaponry are too strong for me. Glad that you enjoyed the book so much that too found no faults with it! Thank you for thoughtful review!

The making of evil seems to be an intriguing book. Being an adult at a very young age is quite challenging, I wonder how Juan was able to cope. Nice review.

So sad that children are actually growing up like this character, Juan, today. I also learned a new word from this review. The word is 'bildungsroman.' Good review.

It was a sour childhood experience for Juan. Unfortunately, no one chooses where to be born. Every event has an agenda in one's life. Thank God Juan was strong.

A worthwhile read for those interested in learning about street life firsthand. One thing is made abundantly obvious in this book: society is accountable for the criminals it produces. Thank you for  the well-written review.
