Cindy sounds like quite a character! I enjoy books with both suspense and romance if one doesn't overshadow the other, but it sounds like that is the case with this book. I would like to know if Cindy and Alonzo ever get together, but I will pass on this one. Thanks for the great review!

I'm not a fan of romantic books, so I will unfortunately skip this book. I appreciate the detailed description of clothes, but it still doesn't interest me that much.

This really looks like a romance novel. The one kind that our mothers used to read. I didn't quite understand what the word "tussle" means. But it seems like a good book for people who like detailed novels.

The book cover certainly makes one think that this is a romance novel. Maybe the combination with suspense, makes it confusing for some readers.

From the title of the book, I had the feeling the story was about a man. After reading the review, I'm wondering if I can reserve my thoughts until I actually read the book. The aspect where the suspense is overshadowed by the romance in the story makes me a bit skeptical about the book.

Will Alonzo fulfill Cindy's desires? I can't wait to read CrackerJack! by Shea Rose and find out. Congratulations on the BOTD.

I’m not really sure where the suspense comes in yet as he excerpt really is just the romance side and setting the scene of some hospital discussion in her role as stenographer. It really is a slow start, although the descriptions have still kept me reading.

Many might agree on that been stenographer is the epitome of boring life and probably it is the reason such professions rarely become an occupation for main characters, but I certainly not among them. My auntie was stenographer first in court and later in ministry, so it most definitely wasn't boring job by any stretch. I would read the book as a tribute to underestimated profession, even though normally romance is not my thing.

The book sounds interesting and intriguing. The romance in this suspensful novel is an additional bonus, at least for me. And though I understand the boringness of a job, I don't understand the desire "to be tussled", so It will be interesting to figure it out in this book. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

I didn't find the beginning boring but funny! I liked Cindy from the very beginning, while Claudia is absolutely sour...The story is shown, not told, and I loved this.

I think your review is spot-on. I was put off by the beginning of this book and didn't keep reading because it seemed to promise a romance novel with crime and suspense only a side thought.

I never really read any other law related book since The Gray Mountain by John Grisham. I am really interested in the actions taking place in this novel, as the professional jargon exchange between lawyers adds an air of formality to the book, making it more classy. Maybe that's just my opinion. Anyways, I'll give it a try.

The focus of this novel seems somewhat "blurred" to me. It is said that it is about wanting to be "tussled", but also tells about a character who gets dressed in the morning. Ultimately, it sounds like a romance story.
