I'm glad the author raised awareness on the plight of the Congolese people using Lemba. I'll definitely check this book out.

Lemba sounds like a talented teenager who has a keen for technology, especially piloting drones. He wants to use this gift to do good. Will he be able to? I am also eager to find out. Congrats on BOTD!

This excellent fictional memoir tells the story of Lemba, who has a knack for technology and hopes to use it for good regardless of negative influences in his life. The best part of this book for me is how sensitive the author was in speaking about terrors done to the Congolese people and brings to light these important topics to the reader. Congrats on the BOTD!

It is amazing that some child soldiers actually hate what they are made to do. I also love to find out how Lemba was able to overcome every challenge that came his way. Thanks for the review.

"A Novel of War, Family, and Survival" is most definitely not something I would like to read currently when so many conflicts escalated to outright fighting with no regards what it does with children and elderly especially. Politicians play games and civilians suffer the price of feeding their ambitions. Apologies, but I on principle will pass this book, but I respect the author's effort to put light on the subject and congratulate on BOTD!

I agree that's it's quite eye opening. But I believed that it's not the book for me as some of the topic are quite theme sensitive.

Definitely an intriguing book! I am not a big fan of books about children that get exploited, but this book sounds like a motivating read. Well done on the review and for #BOTD!

The author's memoir retells the sad fate of the Congolese due to terrorists. May it spread a moral lesson to world leaders that they need to put an end to terrorism. Congratulations to BOTD. Thanks for review with questions that makes you read more.

Thank you for a beautiful review. It is always sad when children have to make adult decisions to protect their loved ones. I look forward to reading this inspiring fictional memoir that follows Lemba's exploits as a 15-year-old child solider in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Congrats on BOTD.

Good to know that the author rectified errors. I'm afraid this book is too emotional for me. It is heartbreaking the situation young Lemba finds himself in. Great job with the review.

The book "Drone Child: A Novel of War, Family and Survival" by David H. Rothman talks about the Congolese people and the horrors of war that befell them. At the center of the plot is the 15-year-old child soldier Lemba. The book is professionally edited.

I looked in vain in this review for the meaning of the book's title. But I see enough to interest me. I've picked up on the fact that Rothman has used researched information and personal notes. That's impressive.
