A mystery thriller that spans across 26 years is an appealing BOTD. I would have to agree that time does not heal all wounds. I wonder what strained Gilly's marriage with Toshi? Nice review.

I just read a sample of this book and I'm curious about Gilly. Congratulations on winning BOTD.

I have a feeling that the book may be overpacked with heavy scenes coming up frequently. I just hope that the multiple simultaneous threads aren’t confusing, especially while going back and forth in time. Since there are thriller and suspense elements, I’m eager to sample it. Thank you for the insightful review!

Gilly's character seems quite an enigma. I'm intrigued to know why they kept a dead baby they found in the woods. Crime is a persistent theme in this story, and it looks like Gilly is hunted by the terrible things she did in the past. It sounds attractive to lovers of mystery and suspense.

I can't see myself surviving and keeping such a horrible secret as Gilly. Who is that baby? Why did they murder it? Why did the horror disturb her again after the death of her mother? I'd like to find out. Congratulations to the author on BOTD!

Regret and remorse seem to be prominent feelings in this thriller and it addresses so much of what many struggle with-having to answer for your past. This seems like quite the journey of a thriller, can’t wait to give it a read!

This mystery sounds complex and dramatic. I would love to give this a read, I find stories about guilt mixed with childhood innocence and naievete to be extremely interesting. Excellent review and congrats on book of the day!

The child's psyche is a fragile thing and can be damaged by all kinds of trauma, so I am not surprised by the consequences. What did amaze me is why it hasn't occurred to couple of kids to call police or tell the parents, twelve years are old enough to have more sense and propriety. Weren't they taught anything?!

I am not sure whether I will enjoy a story which has a dead baby as a topic. I will probably skip this one.

The book contains a high level of suspense. I'm intrigued by the actions of Gilly and her friend. The hidey hole is quite a spooky concept too. Great review.

This seems to be an exciting crime book. Hiding a dead child appears out of the ordinary. Facing the consequences of her actions after 20 years is impressive. I'll love to read how this story concludes. Thanks for the review.

At the beginning of this review, I didn't think this book sounded like it was for me, but then I got to the part where Gilly kept the dead baby! This sound like an exceptionally exciting and captivating novel, and I would love to read it. Fantstic review!
