I see an honour-among-thieves type theme here as portrayed your description of Tommy’s ‘fairness'. He, of course, is in good company with his life path; a fair few Americans dropped out of college and became millionaires. As for the morality of it all, well Rush has a way of presenting reality but letting you make your own mind up. I liked Wild World for that and this one seems steeped in that direction.

Young Americans is an international crime mystery about the life of Tommy Logan. He was abused as a child and grew up to be a drug dealer. He ultimately got involved with the wrong people, putting himself in grave danger. Can he and his girlfriend, Sandy, escape? Excellent book review!

Drugs ruin lives and this story is a clear indicator of that. Tommy's life took a turn for the worst and I can only assume the end. This is a must read to fully comprehend the dangers of drugs. Congrats on BOTD!

The review is well-written, clearly pointing out the positives of the book. The warnings about triggers are much appreciated. Thank you for sharing this detailed review with us.

Young Americans’ takes a raw, unflinching look at the life of Tommy, a young man diving into the perilous depths of the drug trade. It's a gritty narrative that doesn't glamorize but rather lays bare the stark realities of such a life. Congratulations on being BOTD!

Young Americans by Peter S. Rush sounds like an intense journey into the life of a troubled young man, Tommy. His character growth and the raw depiction of the drug trade intrigue me.

The book sounds interesting describing the life of a young man who had hard times growing up and when he became a young man. But the fact that the book depicts the actual events of a drug dealer’s life is a big hindrance for me as I'm not sure I could manage all that violence and shootings that are the norm in the world of drugs. Still, congratulations on becoming BOTD!

Tommy only wants to be successful and have money to do what he pleases, but his career choice may not allow this for very long. I wonder what will become of him? Thanks for the review.

I recently read Young Americans by Peter S. Rush, and I found it to be an engaging read. The book follows Tommy, a troubled young man who becomes involved in the drug trade. While I may not agree with his choices, the character development was well-executed and the supporting characters added depth to the story. The book provides a realistic depiction of the life of a drug dealer, with themes of violence, prison life, and the struggles of maintaining a lavish lifestyle. Though there is excessive profanity and explicit content, it may appeal to readers interested in exploring the underworld of drug smuggling and prison life. Overall, I rate the book 5 out of 5 stars.
