This crime and mystery novel seems to capture the attention of the reader. I commend the author for succeeding in keeping the mystery of the killer's identity to the revealing moment. The simple explanation of the oil drilling process is another positive, as it helped in understanding the process without being boring. Congratulations on BOTD!

"Derrick of Death" by Malvina Lerma is highly positive. I praise the book for its expertly crafted murder mystery, which includes intriguing red herrings and subtle clues. I also appreciate how the author introduces technical details about drilling without overwhelming the reader, using relatable characters for explanations. The book receives a 5-star rating, with only minor errors noted, suggesting professional editing. I recommend the book to fans of strong female leads, murder mysteries, and those interested in the oil industry. Overall, the book is engaging and suitable for quick, captivating reading.

Good review. It is nice to see a woman in the leading role in this genre, an oil rig manager. I wonder why the author chose a woman for this role. I also liked that the technical details were kept to a minimum and did not interfere with the flow of the story.

A strong female lead is something that appeals to me greatly. While I am not really interested in learning how an oil rig is operated, the murder mystery sounds like one I would like to read. Thanks for the review!

The book sounds exciting and suspensful. And I alos like that the plot is unpredictable, nothing is revealed till the very end. It will be interesting to figure out who the killer is along with Charlie and whether it is connected with the rig or it is something personal. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!
