You have placed the facts right in the review in relation to the historical theme described in the book

Great review, I do give crime related books with romance elements a try.

Such a nice and lovely review up there. I just hope I'll enjoy every bit of this book and that I won't be disappointed.

I like this book and your review shed a new light on the story. I have responded to another post about this same book, but the way in which you focused on specific details made it more interesting to read. My favorite part is the sense of adventure that the main character has and the willingness with which he is able to leave everything behind to follow his dream. The rough terrain and backstabbing make the story better.

Your review has helped me learn more about the book than reading the blurb and the sample did so thank you! Still not sure if this one is for me though, corporate and crime mysteries are not really my cup of tea and I don't think I'd like the ending.

I read and reviewed this one too, but I regret I didn't enjoy it quite as much. Here's my review for anyone who is interested.

Between the KU "Free Sample" and THIS enlightening review, #TheExpansion moved up to the #1 spot in my "Queue" aka the "I Want to Read"-bookshelf!

Great review... seriously!

The mere mention that the book does not contain many technical jargons is good enough for me. But I read a book whose ending was so abrupt and grossly unsatisfactory. I don't think that am ready for a similar situation yet.

I've read the sample and it has a very powerful beginning. The descriptions are very Well done. I could see in my mind's eye the glittering diamonds as the plane crashed. Thank you for your review.

This review focuses a bit too much on the history of the Panama Canal and the minutiae of the book, but does not give much information about the intrigue in the book that would classify it as a thriller. I need more information about that part of the book. I greatly appreciate the heads up about the cliffhanger, though. That's very helpful because I dislike a cliffhanger, especially when there is no other indication that it would happen.
