This looks like an interesting read. I'm not that interested in the witchy thing, as I think I overdosed on Kim Harrison's writing, but the combination of the witch thing with the serial killer aspect might be just enough to convince me to give this one a whirl. Congrats to the author on her achievement and BOTD.

Mystery/thriller mixed with white and dark magic sounds like an appealing twist. The author's writing style seems to strike the balance between vivid description and maintaining the level of suspense expected of a thriller.

"Murder Under Redwood Moon" by Sherri Lynn Dodd is a new mix of thriller, mystery, and dark horror. In the book, the themes of love, romance, friendship, violence, and suspense are intertwined. The book begins with a bad dream in which Ian saw that his young daughter, Arista, had been hurt by black magic.

Reading murder mysteries and action thrillers that keep you in suspense and glued to the pages is always enjoyable. This particular book offers a unique twist by incorporating elements of witchcraft, a theme I haven't encountered much in similar genres, which makes me even more eager to dive into it. The author weaves together love, friendship, romance, sacrifice, and violence—quite a lot to explore in one story. I'm curious to see how these themes unfold through each character, especially since the narrative seems to be told from multiple perspectives. With such a large cast, I hope the complexity of their relationships and individual stories comes through clearly. The review was insightful and has prepared me well for what to expect. Congratulations to the author on being selected for the Book of the Day.

The plot follows Arista, a young woman with unique powers, as she faces dark forces from her past and a serial killer terrorizing her town. Dodd masterfully blends suspense, horror, and witchcraft, maintaining tension until the thrilling climax. "Murder Under Redwood Moon" by Sherri Lynn Dodd. An interesting book, talks more about murder, mystery, horror, romance, witchcraft and violence. It's also a thriller action packed book. Arista gifted with powers while her uncle Fergus tries all he could to get her powers with black magic. Arista later grew up with her aunt and knows more of the positive side of her magic and how to use them. Congrats on your #BOTD.

Sherri Lynn Dodd's Murder Under Redwood Moon is a murder mystery, romance, horror, and witchcraft all rolled into one. The protagonist of the tale is Arista, a young magical girl in peril from her uncle Fergus, who seeks to use evil magic to control her skills. Arista learns to accept the good parts of her magic as she grows up with her aunt. The book is an exciting and engrossing read.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting thriller novel following Ian who has premonitions about his brother-in-law harming his daughter with black magic. Will he be able to prevent his niece from getting harmed? It might be worth a second look. Well done.
