The research that goes in to writing books like this must be intense! Whew! Your review was well-written and very helpful...thank you! I downloaded my copy, but I may have to wait to read it until I toughen up in a couple areas. Unfortunately, I don't handle extreme gore very well. Keep up the great work. :-)

I'll bet this is a fascinating book to read. However, the molestation, revenge, and gore are enough to keep me away. Thanks for the great review!

Thank you for your comprehensive review! It appears the author shows all the complexity of the motives behind the killings. It makes the story both deep and gripping.

I believe I will really enjoy this book. Seeing how a serial killer thinks reminds me of some episodes in the tv series, criminal minds. I look forward to reading this book. Thanks for your review.

Somewhat of an unusual twist. A serial killer you can empathize with eh? Easy to read concise review, thank you! :shhh:

Most times persons with psychological problems are that way because of the trauma they have experienced. Because they are very weak, it may have an adverse effect on them. It still no excuse to go out and harm someone because some other person harms you. Thank you for your thorough review.

this review helped me know how the author portrayed the thinking of the serial killer and what made him to take such actions and basically what made him to turn into psychopath
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

I love psychological thrillers, and I know that I'll especially enjoy reading this book because I like true crime stories and most of the ones I've read are about serial killers.

I rated this book 4 out of 4 stars. There were very few typos, and the story flowed very well for the type of excitement. I particularly liked ending the book because it showed that there were reasons, no matter how hard you could be perverted behind every intention. A fair warning, though: This book is not for the grace of hearts because of the detailed description of the gorge. However, I would definitely recommend this to those who love excitement and crime / mystery.

At the risk of sounding simplistic, this is just messed up! It sickens me that, A, this kind of abuse goes on, B, (some) clergy in particular are taking advantage of people's trust and, C, they think God might be okay with it. I'm going to pass on the book due to content (and several errors I found in the acknowledgements and foreword), but I enjoyed your review! This is definitely a subject that needs to be discussed in order to be prevented.

I do love a good thriller and this does sound like an interesting concept. I would be very intrigued to give this a go, although I'm not sure I would enjoy the detailed descriptions of gore!

Really good review for this horror story about a man seeking revenge for the abuses he received as a child. I agree that the author did present the killer in a way that would cause the reader to have mixed feelings about the crimes he committed and even feel a measure of empathy. I am glad the reviewer includes the warning about the book. It certainly is not for the soft hearted.

This seems fairly interesting now that I have read your review. It seems that this book will be added to my reading list, now that I know that this can be read as a stand-alone. As I was quite hesitant at first because it was not the first book. I was so worried that I will not follow the events if it were not so. After all, a peek into a serial killer's mind is always up in my alley. I always love a mystery thriller novel to spice up my day.

What i love about this book is the beauty of the language which features many powerful descriptions and great dialogue. And it displayed how a serial killer thinks

I love books that delve into the minds of serial killers. What I like about this book is that although it is a sequel to Gallagher's Serial K, you can still read it as a standalone. This is a good review that gives enough detail about the book to pique the readers interest.
