I love action based fiction and after reading the review, it gave me enough reasons to add this book to my to-read list. Can't wait to see how the protagonist saves her family.

I have yet to sample the first few pages of this book but it seems like a good read as I enjoy fast-paced novels. It's an appreciated plus that the author doesn't go into unnecessary details on the heavier topics discussed like murder and rape. Thanks for the informative review :D

I agree with your rating because sometimes grammatical mistakes can take away from the enjoyment of the story. I can easily imagine the Gulf of Mexico and the naval bases that are there. I think that having the plot mainly in Texas gives the story a western vibe of good versus evil. I like the sharp contrast between Danielle and Boris.

The main character, Danielle, seems quite realistic. Many readers can relate to her for having lost a close family member. How this absence affects the person may vary form person to person, so seeing the main character seek solitude to keep those memories as far as possible is quite believable. I enjoy reading stories about realistic believable characters, so thanks for this honest review!

This sounds like it could be good, but for some reason I have a hard time with simple errors like missing quotation marks. I think I'll pass on this one, but I'm thankful for the chance to check out the book for free. :)

Hmmm. Sounds intriguing. Your review makes it seem like an interesting plot, and I like books that are not unnecessarily graphic in their violence. The style and punctuation issues and the nautical references will probably be a turn off for me though, but even so, I'll probably check it out.

Our damsel doesn't need a knight to save her. She is a knight herself! I love that the main character has a strong conviction. I also love the themes of family relationships. Thank you for the insightful review!

This looks like an interesting thriller, but the punctuation errors are a dealbreaker for me. It's a shame, because a nautical crime adventure sounds like a great time. :)

I enjoy a book that fights the good fight. She's determined to retain what's hers at any cost. Third person narrative may help to enhance the reader's interest. I have enough books in series that I'm trying to complete before adding a new one. Maybe, further down the road I will.

A thriller where Danielle who tries to cope with the loss of her family. I hope she will be able to save her family! I like that Danielle seems like a strong and likable character. It's great to hear that the nautical references weren't too overwhelming and that the writing style was gripping. Too bad about the amount of errors here. I think this would bother me. However, I'm glad that you were able to enjoy the book regardless of its flaws. Thank you for sharing!

I think I'm going to like Danielle's character. The mention of pirates has me intrigued, so I will add this to my Want to Read shelf. Thanks for your introduction to this book!
