Excellent review: I did enjoy reading your review, but I would not like the contents of the book once it has to deal with blackmail for favors by the Mafia and a Judge unless the Judge is still crooked and the Mafia's attorney is aware of it. That can get complicated for my conscious mind. It surely is a no read for me thank you for such explicit information.

With such great reviews, this crime thriller piques my interest. Suspenseful, gripping, well written story. I certainly can't wait to find out what happened to Al and what his plan was

This looks like one of those stories where things spiral out of control. A person tries to cover one thing by doing another and the cycle continues. It looks like this one will be one very entertaining ride. Congrats on BOTD.

The protagonist of this novel is Al Roth, a Judge who upholds the law above all the other things, and an interesting character of the plot. And this crime fiction novel tries to portray the criminal activities of the mafia, as well as the judicial system in an interesting way.

Based on the review it sounds like an interesting book. It’s quite curious that there is no good guy in this story, so it would be tough to decide who to side with.

Unfortunately this book's premise strongly resembles another story which I quite recently read. Since I am not interested in comparison therefore I won't read it. Sorry and congrats on BOTD.

Although I don't kind the violence, I think this type of book has been done to death. I don't believe I'll be picking this one up any time soon.

Quite an intriguing read. The action begins right from the first page and keeps the reader engaged till the end.

Oh, this is a book full of gangsters and masterminds. I would like to read the full content of the book because I need to find out how Al tackles this blackmail against him.

Interesting. A tale of blackmail with no good guys? I'm curious how the author develops the characters. Thanks for the review.

First of all, I LOVE this title. Just fabulous. Second, thanks for this compelling review. You sealed the deal with the comment about the “sneaky but witty” characters, ha 😉 I’m definitely adding this one to my list!

Very good review. The story sounds amazing and the fact that there's no a "good" character (maybe Al but not always) make it more interesting because all the situations involve people who will do anything for their survival, is a race that only the most astute will win, but with many twists, it's hard to figure who and how. While reading the review, i downloaded the book. So...Let's start it!
