I enjoyed hearing how the slightly unlikable protagonist eventually grew on you. Despite you giving it a 3.5(ish) score, the fact that you want to read the next in the series has encouraged me to start the series with this and hopefully continue on. Thanks Gali.

Lee Stone casts an engaging tale in Free Fish Friday. Slacker Mills, the unconventional protagonist, will steal readers' hearts with his fishing adventures and unconventional charm. From friendship to forgiveness, the themes explored adds depth to the plot.

It's a great review. The book is really a good one as it start of as a mystery from the very beginning. It seems that is of forestory of the two friends and then the real mysterious part of the story begins. There is a lot of praising about the characters so I am really eager for this one

The book was so amazing the mystery and suspense got me thinking or possible outcomes , the author Lee Stone is such an inspirational and creative writer . The modern world is beginning to see the beauty and diversity of species in the oceans and the book illuminate aquatic life and also portray determination and passion driven mindset for those we love and would cross the line for .

"Free Fish Friday" by Lee Stone starts a new series for this author. Set in Key West the action follows a prominent character named Slacker. He is a great fisherman, and a trusted friend until his friend ends up dead. Will Slacker find the reason his friend is dead so the community will trust him again? The series revolves around him so we had better hope so. I am curious to see if these stories are a bit like the John D. McDonald character, Travis McGee.

The main character sounds really interesting and there are a lot of themes at play here besides the central mystery. I would love to read this book and the following ones in the series. Thanks for the amazing review.

"Free Fish Friday" by Lee Stone seems like an exciting mystery with an engaging protagonist, Slacker Mills. The coastal setting and fishing theme create a unique atmosphere. The character development and plot twists make it a compelling read. It's intriguing to see how Slacker handles being a prime suspect in his best friend's death. The author's storytelling and attention to detail immerse readers in the story. Overall, it sounds like a captivating book that mystery lovers would enjoy diving into!

I'm always down for a murder mystery novel with a twist. Thankfully, this is the first book in the series so it allows the reader to learn Slacker's backstory. I cannot wait to get this book. Congrats to the author for having the BOTD.

I'm glad you enjoyed it so much. The author sounds really talented at character building, which is awesome! I tend to not like flawed characters myself, but I can see how well this book handled that conflict. There was something so clever about calling him a "good catch" among all the description of his love for fishing. And as others have said, I also enjoyed your enthusiasm!
