I don't particularly enjoy reading stories with violence in it, so this is an immediate skip for me. Whenever the Mafia is mentioned, there's always torture involved. This book is best for readers who don't mind gore in mystery thrillers. Congratulations on the BOTD.

I would be tempted to read this because of the incision of the Russian mafia. However, I can't help thinking that your issues with the grammar and the mutating narrative style might be recurrent in the septology.
