A mystery- thriller with a journalist who likes to poke his nose in every thing as a protagonist and the suspense with a thread of humour running through out. Nothing is stopping me from being obsessed with this book.
All your scholarship, all your study of Shakespeare and Wordsworth would be vain if at the same time you do not build your character and attain mastery over your thoughts and your actions.

Mystery, thriller and good humor? This is definitely my kind of read. I also love the character development. Impressive review.

Sounds like a fun read for the right audience, but probably not up my alley. Thanks for the review.

I think this book has an interesting atmosphere of a thriller combined with some philosophy mixed with humour and a strong dose of atmospheric character. The review was interesting although I got the impression that the reviewer wasn't quite sure what genre or category to pace this book in. I enjoy mystery and thrillers, but I also like the impression that experiences are objective and one can never be sure of reality. This sounds like an interesting and an absorbing reading experience. Your review was very interesting and enjoyable to read.

From the review, there seems to be mystery embedded in the book which one needs to read and find. However, the book does not catch my attention to think of reading it. Congratulations all the same.

That's an awesome review of this interesting story. I enjoyed the comedy in the sample, too. I like the unreliability of Winston and the sarcasm of Liz. I wish to read the rest of the book soon. (One of my favorite authors is British jockey Dick Francis who put humor to great use.)

A thriller with some mystery and suspense is my favourite. The story and the characters sound complex and interesting. Thanks for the nice review!

The story is interesting. The protagonist is a well developed character. I love the concept behind the story as well. Congrats to the author.

Interesting take on a first person narrative. I saw the same thing in a book that I reviewed that didn't fully develop supporting characters either. This does sound like a perfect example of the dry humor that I have found in most British stories. Great review!
