This is a very informative review. Particularly, the last paragraph drew my attention:
"If you fancy reading stories that feature business ideas, you can check this book. Additionally, readers who enjoy reading attention-grabbing crime and mystery stories will find the book worth reading. If you are looking for an action-packed crime story, forget this book."
As regards "business ideas", I would not have expected this genre to include business ideas. "Attention grabbing crime and mystery" would be what I mainly expect from the book, not an "additional" feature. But the most interesting part is the warning "If you are looking for an action-packed crime story, forget this book"; this is what I would have expected, and the pages that I sampled pointed to that. Will the pace slow down as we go?
I Must check it out.

Fascinating storyline. Was Diamond hot on Sydney's trail or was Sydney a step ahead? The book sounds like a must-read. Great review.

I love it when the author really seems to be knowledgeable about the topic they are writing about (in this case, pearls). I also love a suspenseful book, I don't care if it has action or not. Thanks for the review, this book sounds really good.

Diamond and Pearls by Julien Ayotte sounds like an interesting book. Your review is well penned and that gives me the urge to read the book. Besides that, I love reading any materials that have business content. In that case, I will give this book a shot. Congratulations to the author on the BOTD.

Today's BOTD is one of business, crime, and mystery. Readers will be pulled into the story by the well-developed characters, and the interesting information about pearls will keep them turning pages. I've added this to my WTR list. Thank you! :-)

"ways in which one can avoid getting into trouble with the mobsters" - That could be helpful!! Sydney sounds like an interesting character. I'm wondering how she avoided the mobsters?? Great writing!
