This seems to be a nice book for children that teaches children the importance of being interested in something and pursuing the goals when you decide to something. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

This looks like a delightful children's mystery. It definitely does look like a walk down memory lane. Great review!

Reading your review gave me so much nostalgia for The Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew, which I used to read when I was younger. This mystery children's book sounds very similar to what I remember from those novels. Thanks for the review!

Sounds like a very entertaining mystery book for kids. Also, what a unique and cool nickname is Pickles, love it! Thanks for the thorough review!

This book seems like a sweet read. Jennifer, nicknamed Pickles, loves eating pickles and solving mysteries like her inspiration Sherlock Holmes. So when the ruby earring of the banker's wife goes missing, she is eager to solve the case and clear her friend's name. I would like to know how she does that. Congratulations on BOTD!

I love how simple the setting is in the sample. There is no implication of modern society anywhere so far, which I enjoyed. The nickname is unique and adorable. While I will skip this book because I don't have kids, I commend the author for a job well done! :)

The sample I read gave me a sort of Nancy Drew feel. Your review definitely tells me, I'm on to something.

Love how you describe the feel of the book as nostalgic and 80s or 90s. I didn't get that out of the sample and I think that is an important aspect for those of us who are older than the books age range, but don't mind taking a walk down memory lane.

Thanks for mentioning that her friend and pooches help her along the way. Some people really enjoy books about friends and pets. That great point to touch on for those readers.

It seems like the books also touches on stereotypes people place on people based on age or occupation. Love when a book shows the stereotype and then reveals that people don't always act as they appear!

I did see it was based in NC, which is where I currently reside. I always enjoy books set in places I've lived or visited.

This book seems like it would be a wholesome book for kids to read. It reminds me of when I used to devour Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys as a child. This mystery seems like it would be fun to read so congratulations on BOTD.

Detectives are always the right choices for mysteries, aren't they? You could never go wrong with that angle. This looks interesting, might give it a try.

This book sounds like an adventurous read for children and the innocence of pickles makes this book feel even more right for children. It's hard to find the right kind of books for children nowadays. Thank you for a detailed review.

I really like this one! Something light and bright, reminding me about classics without all those gruesome details that seems like a requirement from modern novels. I foresee much easy entertainment and enjoyment from this book and heartfelt congratulate with BOTD!
