A well written review summing up the story. The author has done great work in bringing the story to life.He has given a description of geographical features to bring a clear understanding of Sabah and Malaysia. So much interested to know how terrorists make moves and the mindset to come out successfully in dangerous missions.A good read because it is action packed, has suspence and twists.Congratulations for being the BOTD.

I am sorry to say, but despite the great description provided in the review, I was unable to get interested in the subject matter of this book. It just sounds like too foreign a setting, and even the mundane topic of terrorism doesn't help because I dislike reading about it as well. Apologies and congratulations on BOTD!

"Mission Sabah" by V G Kumar Das is related to terrorist action, how they operated and getting support by internal system of the nation. It's about national security, how the life threatening is the terrorist system.

I completely agree with you. "Mission Sabah: The Manhunt" is a book I thoroughly enjoyed. The author's vivid descriptions of Sabah's geography and the intense action sequences kept me on the edge of my seat. The characters, especially Inspector Zain and his team, were well-developed and relatable. The added romance subplot was a nice touch. Overall, a gripping and suspenseful read that I highly recommend to fans of action-packed thrillers.

“Mission Sabah: The Manhunt” by V. G. Kumar Das is a fictional story mixed with cartographic and intelligent properties that provide a detailed view of the geographical features of Sabah. This is a geopolitical action filled novel that details the combat between terrorists and undercover security agents known as Pahlawan. A powerful terrorist named Sadaam Elwan snuck into Sabah of Malaysia, located in the northern part of Borneo to begin a jihad that he hopes will lead to the establishment of an Islamic State in Sabah. Sadaam is supported by prominent leaders in the State and the “Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters” who will unleash fear in society. The defense ministry discovered the jihadist movement which led to the selection of an emergency unit of six trained security personnel headed by Inspector Abidin. The group of six went through three months of intensive training before beginning their mission to protect the state of Sabah and their nation from intruders. Zain was determined to arrest the insurgents carrying out the Jihad. The mission turns out to be more complicated than their planning expected and Zain crosses paths with an old foe. One needs to read the book to learn how successful the security team members were on their mission. The story also includes a budding romance between two team members and the descriptions of the mountains, beaches and tropical rain forests were so good that I could visualize being there. The world has been terrorized by jihadist for many years and their dedication to their cause could be considered admirable if they were motivated to help others instead of killing them. The sample was very good and it has motivated me to read the entire book to learn what happens.

I haven't read a lot of terrorist-centered books, so I don't know if I'll enjoy this one. It's not what I always choose, but I'll give it a read and see how it goes. Thanks for the review!
