After reading this review and the sample I have added the entire series to my To-Be-Read list. I loved Dr. Nolan's sense of humor and dry wit. I laughed out loud several times.

Trafficking is a very personal subject to me. Drug, human, etc. And this Novel reveals to us how much it eats into a society and how people are comfortable working in this illegal industry. A big thank you to the author for engaging this subject.

It's refreshing to see a crime novel that makes use of the post-Covid world. Many of us could relate to this and increases the credibility of the storyline. Your review has convinced me to read this novel. It should be an ideal way to spend a weekend. Thank you!

I like the title of this work and its cover. I am interested to see how the good old Dr. Nolan, who I assume is a medical doctor, will take on the police. I am also intrigued by this Asian girl! What is it about her that makes Dr. Nolan fight a losing battle? This book is bound to fascinate me! Congrats on the BOTD!

Who would have thought that slavery is prevalent today as well? Dr. Nolan seems to be a nuanced character.

Thank you for the great review.

The review is fluid in itself and encouraged me to read more of this BOTD. The books sounds like a good read; I like books that flow with ease.
A good mystery book, with opportunity to read others in a series…my idea of a Friday night!!

The book sounds very exciting and seems to be a real page turner. An unknown woman seeking help who later turns up dead and no one seems to care who she was except Dr. Nolan. It will be interesting to read this book. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

This sure seems like an intriguing book. Seeking justice against the very people who are meant to uphold justice; the police. Thanks for the review.

This book is a unique piece and has a captivating plot though I don’t still understand what direction the story is going it would seem like a purposeful ploy to create suspense and draw me to read the book. Congratulations on BOTD.

The pandemic was a hard time for everyone and this is a book that I can relate with. I also think it is normal for a doctor for the doctor to want justice for someone who has been through so much.

A chilling thriller based on modern day events is definitely an appealing story for the BOTD. A doctor taking more interest in a patient as more than just another number is rare, and I would like to see how he interacts with other people. Nice review.

I like fiction novels that are based on the societal vices. This one seems like an interesting read highlighting some evils prevalent in our society. The protagonist seems to have a strong personality too. On my read list! Thanks for an excellent review!
