The reviewer has provided a comprehensive and engaging summary of "Derrick of Death" by Malvina Lerma. Your description of the murder mystery and its central characters, such as Charlie, sets the stage for potential readers, making it clear that it's a compelling story.

I enjoyed your review and as a lover of murder mysteries, I am convinced I have to read this book.
The combination of a strong female lead and well-written storyline is great. Having a female oil rig manager through whom the reader not only learns about oil rigs but experiences the ups and downs in the story is enthralling. I'm happy to know that the author breaks down technical terms used.
This is a must read for murder mystery fans.

As I read the sample of "Derrick of Death" by Malvina Lerma in Amazon, I noted the list of characters which is unusual for me to see in a mystery book. Once reading the story I got hooked on Karen and her sad marriage and the going on from there. Then to get to the part where Charlie is really a Charlize who is the working manager on an oil drill totally got my attention. Your remarkable review telling me how the mystery of Karen's murderer goes right to the end convinced me that I had to read this mysterious and wild book.

This is a murder mystery set on an oil rig where a female manager is in charge. Technical aspects of oil drilling are explained as part of the story to enhance readers' understanding of the process.

A strong female lead and a thrilling, obviously well-crafted murder mystery sounds good to me. Also, an oil rig definitely sounds like a perfect scene for a murder mystery. Thank you for the interesting review, I just might check this book out!

I am a murder mystery fan and I do enjoy a strong female lead so this book may be for me. I don't know much about oil rigging or how it works but ,since the review says that the details are explained in the book, it gives me a bit more confidence to give it a try. I'll keep this book in mind. Congrats on BOTD!

Those who enjoy books with a strong female lead would enjoy this book. It may also interest murder mystery fans, along with those who may want a glimpse into the workings of an oil well. This book is the perfect length to read in an afternoon or two and engaging enough to make it hard to put down!
I was pleasantly surprised when I found out Charlie was a woman. A quick sample of this book has me hooked already. Thanks to the author for the free copy, and thank you for your recommendation. Congrats on BOTD!

A strong female lead in a red-herring-filled murder mystery that’s set in an unusual setting that I get to learn about?? Count me in!!

A well written murder mystery is hard to hate, so no surprise that this has 5 stars. The first chapter was enough to draw me in to continue reading. Can't wait for the next in the series.

This murder mystery appears to sound thrilling based on the review given.
However I am not very curious about detailed engagement on this book as nothing truly sticks out for me. Perhaps it's because alot of the details being held back by the reviewer, are to maintain the actual mystery bits , as mentioned. Or maybe I feel this way because it reminds me, of something I have already read . I just simply can't place my finger on this one .

A well-written murder mystery is hard to hate, so no surprise that this one has 5 stars. The review was beautifully written, and I started the first chapter. It was enough to make me continue reading, in fact the first paragraph was enough to make me continue reading. I am glad this will be a series, I can't wait to finish this one and get to the killer and certainly can't wait for the other books waiting to come out.

It's exhilarating how Charlie secures a job which gets off to a good start.Suddenly the plot changes when she discovers a body on site. The drilling stops and they start piecing together the cause root of the deaths since it's not the first. This creats suspense hence eagerness to continue reading the story.
