This book will be intriguing to people who enjoy action packed thrillers about Lara and Uri trying to take care of terrorism.

Thank you for this review. If I recall correctly I have read another review on this very book roughly a week or 2 ago. I particularly loved the title of this book "Devil Among Us". This book sounds equally amazing from a different perspective. Its great that this book like the others in the series can be read alone. Lara and Uri are depicted well in terms of driving this complex and well structured plot. It's interesting to note that you also did the review for the first book in the series " East wind". It's great that you provided a character and plot comparison between the two .

I've heard a lot about the Lara and Uri series and this new review only confirms that I really need to get a move on and read the whole series. Can't wait!

This comprehensive review of "Devil Among Us" by Jack Winnick delves into the intricate plot, praising the action-packed narrative and the evolving dynamic between the protagonists, Lara and Uri. The reviewer appreciates Winnick's Middle East expertise, showcasing complex geopolitical nuances. While acknowledging some negatives, such as the depiction of the European Union, the reviewer concludes with a strong recommendation. I like your review.

Wow, again, this book is the BOTD! I still will not read books and series on terrorism, even if they were cleverly and brilliantly written. It's still not for me, but congrats to the author on another BOTD! Thank you for writing an insightful review, NetMassimo!

Jack Winnick's Devil Among Us amplifies Lara and Uri's series with gripping spy thrills. FBI's Lara Edmond, now a field agent, and Mossad's Uri Levin tackle a complex terrorist plot. Packed with twists, it surpasses typical spy thrillers. A must read for espionage enthusiasts.

Second book in the Lara and Uri action series. This spy thriller is action-packed and has a great plot. A suicide bomber kills many people in the USA, which leads to further investigation of suspects, only to find out that there is an imminent threat to Israel and the USA. Uri is sent from Mossad to help Lara, and they both effectively investigate to reveal hidden secrets. Nice review.

I started reading this series towards the end, a testament to the fact that they "can" be standalone books. However, I wish I would have started at the very first book! I still need to read this one and the first one  I love the way this author packs his pages full of action, and for the most part, I find the plots he presents realistic. With everything going on in the Middle East today, these books are a reminder of the impermanence of peace and the persistent conflicts facing some nations. I am curious to read what you mentioned in terms of the politics of the European Union. I enjoyed reading your review; thanks so much for sharing it with us. Until next time...
:tiphat:
Reading this series out of order can be confusing concerning Lara and Uri's personal relationship, otherwise, there are some references to their past work together but each novel tells its own story. The current event in Israel show how peace is indeed impermanent, sadly.
This exceptional book provides a comprehensive understanding of extremist groups in the Middle East, though it may be violent in its depiction of terrorist attacks. The discussion of different religions may be offensive to some, but overall enjoyable.

Lara and Uri are privileged to meet each other again in another crime case. This case is different from the last. I hope they are able to pull it off. I am looking forward to reading this book. Congratulations to the author on winning book of the day.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting thriller and excellent addition to Mr. Winnick's series, which follows two government agents, Lara and Uri, as they track down and prevent future terrorist activities. In this book, these two agents are tasked with discovering who attacked a New York Synagogue and what the group is planning to do next. It is worth a second look. Well done.

This novel is more action-oriented than the first of the series: in her investigation, Lara works almost exclusively as a field agent while she was originally introduced as a specialist in using computers for intelligence-gathering. In my opinion, that's not a problem because it makes sense that Lara's job changed over time as she gathered experience.
- Good point. I agree. It is always good to have character development and build up, rather than have them static. It is more realistic. Thank you for your review. It was wonderful.

As with all the Lara and Uri books, this isn’t for me as I have no interest in the anti-Islam counterterrorism propaganda vibes it portrays, especially with everything that’s going on with Palestine and Israel at the moment.
