Jennifer Hart has a meltdown, and Dr Young is determined to have her in his psychedelics programme. Will she get the help she needs? I enjoy psychological thrillers, so this is on my reading list. Thanks for your honest and insightful review.

Thank you for your informational review. I'm glad for the most part you liked the book. Though this isn't the type of book I usually like, the sample did seem interesting. I wasn't sure if I wanted to read it or not, but decided to give it a try and added it to my list of books to read. Sometimes one can miss a good book if they simply go by the genre.

I read the sample and thought the book looks interesting. Drug abuse, domestic violence, rape etc is a bit dark for my taste. I also prefer thrillers where the mystery is solved at the end, not halfway through. Thank you for your informative review.

What I like about Latowsky is that he moves effortlessly from mystery to thriller to psychological drama and even a tiny smidgeon of the paranormal. This gives you that layered, you just don’t know what’s going on for so long.

I was excited about this book at first, but then it seemed to just go downhill. I'm not keen on a slow ending in a thriller and am far too sensitive for disturbing graphic details. So I do not think I will read beyond the sample for this. Thank you for the honest review.

Still wondering to know if Dr. Young met with Jennifer before or it's just a fate.
The story is interested but in the middle of nowhere.

The character development in "House of Giral" by Mark Laurence Latowsky is indeed impressive, and Jennifer Hart's journey is both haunting and captivating. Congratulations on your BOTD.

House of Giral by Mark Laurence Latowsky is a gripping medical thriller with a dark, suspenseful tone. The character development is strong, and the mystery will keep you engaged throughout. If you enjoy fast-paced thrillers with a psychological twist, this is a great pick!

I could have written this review myself with how completely my opinion regarding this book matches the thoughts of the reviewer on indicated cons and pros. Caution about disturbing scenes is not amiss as well, but the overall impression is good enough, and I don't regret the time spent on reading it. Congratulations on BOTD!

I am guessing that I would have to read the book before I get to understand the relationship between the story plot and the book title because the title of the book sounded really mafia-like. However, from your review I think the story is going to be great. I can only imagine the intensity of the book, as most psychological thrillers are. Although, it is sad to hear how the intensity slowed down too early in the book, I would still love to read it. Thank you for your enlightening review.

The author has his unique writing style that leans a bit more scientific curiosity with a dash of poetic sensibility reminiscent of Whitman. It is unique reading experience I found both engaging and thought provoking.

"House of Giral" is an intriguing fast-paced medical thriller following a mentally unstable woman, Jennifer Hart, and Dr. Young, who wants to treat her with controversial psychedelic treatments. The tale goes into her mysterious past, her nightmares, and Dr. Young's hidden motivations. The book has what I enjoy to read. Congratulations on BOTD!

I was hooked from the prologue. What's actually going on with Jennifer and her memories? I would like to to know more about her relationship with her dad and husband as well. Can't wait to read further

I'm also curious to know why Dr Young is adamant about using psychedelics on Jennifer and what Jennifer's dreams mean. I enjoy thrillers, so I'll check out House of Giral.
