I appreciate the reviewer's insightful observation that the book tackles "one of the current social issues seen on television everywhere" - the debate around transgender identity and policies, especially as they relate to children. The reviewer rightly notes that the story addresses the weighty questions of whether children should be allowed to transition, whether schools should provide gender-affirming care without parental consent, and whether assisting someone to detransition could be considered a hate crime.

Lin Wilder’s Plausible Liars sounds like an interesting read. However, I'll pass due to firm personal Christian faith about the subject discussed in this book. Like Father John, and I quote again, “It is best to first understand the consequences when seeking to rescue another person.” I believe every action in life has rewards or consequences. And people should learn to live with the consequences of the choices they make if they were so bold to make it.
Focusing on the Objective here, the author wrote a captivating piece touching on Society's current issue of gender confusion and identity. The book was professionally edited and merited a five-star rating.

Credible piece I appreciate the wide rang of knowledge demonstrated here by the author delving from catholic Faith to transgender policies and transitioning. This is indeed a thought-provoking episode. However, the storylines sound interesting from the review.

Great review! How a person identifies is their business. I do not judge these people. However, I do not think that young children should be encouraged at school one way or another. I think that it is the parent's responsibility to encourage the child to want to be transgender, not the school.

Plausible Liars navigates complex social issues with grace, exploring the consequences of actions amidst a backdrop of faith and personal conviction. It challenges readers to confront their beliefs on gender identity and parental rights while delivering a gripping narrative filled with relatable emotions and thought-provoking dialogue.

This book is a hot topic for sure. I like that your review explained that the book is written with both views. It is a complicated subject with so many caveats, making my head spin. Your review has asked several complex questions that I can not answer. I am sure this is a thought-provoking book and definitely on a topic that is so relevant these days, but I don't think this is a book for me. The only thing I am sure of is that I am not God. He alone judges, and he judges me by how I treat others.

Sounds interesting and quite appealing, but I might be biased, because recently I became engrossed with Medical Mysteries after watching a really great crime drama series. After reading the description I was glad to see how the book relates to social issues and their influence on the population. Thanks a lot for gifting the book and congratulations on BOTD!

Plausible Liars seems like a well written book that tackles modern day issues. The book is thought provoking and I like that it brings awareness to topics such as gender transitioning for minors and detransitioning. I'm excited about reading this book. I'd like to know what happens to the characters and the arguments made in the story.

Congratulations to the BOTD author! From the review I guess the book revolves around the transgender issue. I don't know if I'll be on the same side as the book until I try it. Thanks for a free copy!

You highlighted the novel's engagement with current social issues, specifically the complexities surrounding gender transition and detransition in children. The way you presented the book’s exploration of these sensitive topics, coupled with the moral and ethical dilemmas faced by the characters, underscores the depth and relevance of Wilder's work. Your review is sure to guide many readers in deciding whether this book is the right fit for them.
