Fortune Cookie, a book on detective, mystery, adventures sounds interesting. It will be fun to discover "the sub plot and unfolding mysteries" in this story.

Thank you for your review! I read the sample and enjoyed reading about a woman detective. Her problems in her personal life and her relationships with her co-workers could fill the book. The first case in the sample, and the cases noted in the review, are intriguing. This looks like a great read.

Great book! It is a good blend of suspense and thriller. The way it goes into narrative of corporate deciet and from murder is also a great point. Probably something a suspense lover would prefer.

I love suspenseful thrillers, and as someone who works in finance, the fact that this novel revolves around corporate malfeasance and industrial espionage really intrigues me. I really like that the story has well-developed characters and a "psychological layer" to it because those things are really important to me. Thank you for your review – it has really motivated me to read this book.

Deceit, betrayal and corporate malfeasance sound like a fascinating background for a police investigation. Valerie's personal problems show that cops are only human and struggle with the same challenges the rest of us do. Thank you for your informative review.

Addressing key themes like trust, betrayal, and corporate intrigue and your focus on Valerie’s personal and professional journey adds depth, and the praise for its well-edited structure reinforces its quality. Also the character detailing also adds quality to the review. A 5-star rating seems well-justified given your thorough analysis! Great job on the essence of the book.
