'Official Review: Shucked Up' by Leelon Edwards has an enriching introduction. It provides additional information about the author's work through an important character description. The point that the book is a murder mystery is worth mentioning in the review. I appreciate the background of the seafood industry set in the book. The author demonstrates a nice balance between unexpected twists and logical clues. Learning that this book is a perfect rainy-day read was great!

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting mystery novel following Mack and Drew as they investigate the effects a new mandate on oysters in Florida will have, but when Mack is poisoned, Drew must investigate who attempted to poison Mack. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

Thanks for the great review. It does sound very interesting. I like fun mysteries that you can guess what's going to happen but are often wrong. I also like interesting characters. After reading your review I decided to add it to my list of books to read.

This sounds like an exciting crime thriller full of suspense and mystery. Who poisoned Mack? And how will the new regulations on the processing of Oysters save lives? I will read the book to find out.

The story follows Drew and Mack as they investigate a new mandate on oyster processing, threatening the seafood industry's livelihood. Mack is poisoned and Drew aims to find out who was involved. The murder mystery sounds like a fun read, balancing unexpected twists and logical clues. I am glad this book can be read as a standalone.
Great review thanks.

It sounds like an overreaction to shoot someone's boat just because you don't like where it was tied! I love murder mysteries with clues so the reader can solve it before the end. Thank you for your informative review.
