I noticed that there are a handful of characters. I hope each one is given enough time to make an impression to readers. I cling to character development so I tend to shy away from anthologies. Still, I'd like to give this book a chance.

This seems like a interesting story. Great review. I've never read a story set in Israel so that seems like a good time.

This sounds like an interesting book. I appreciate your review. I think I will pass on it since I do get a little more stressed out not knowing what happens to characters--especially in such a tragic and violent situation. But it sounds like this book is both entertaining and thought provoking!

I do usually enjoy books about dystopian societies, but this one didn't hold my interest as much. Like you say, it's difficult to get a good feel for the characters when the story doesn't stay with them for too long. Great review, but I think I'll give this one a miss

I love dystopian books, but there are two things that stop me from being more interested in the book. I usually don't read short stories, and that it's riddled with grammatical errors. The review, however, is as usual great.

I think I may have to try this one out. I read a bit of the sample and it was already very engaging. As long as the characters are well developed, I tend to like the multiple perspectives of vignette writing as well. Thanks for the review!

My interest is piqued. How does the author fit all the vignettes together? An unique way of telling a story makes me want to at least read the sample. Congrats on the BOTD.

I like the format of this book because its different from most novels. I think that the book could continue on as a series because of the limited amount of information that each story provides. I agree that the grammatical errors although minor, do take away from the story since they are sprinkled throughout the book.

I'm not a fan of short story collections, but the concept of this one looks really neat. Awesome review!

The premise of this book about an assassination of the Prime Minister of Israel ( who is a Unifying force) and the antagonism towards the USA is something that i look forward to reading. From your review i can see that there is allot to take in about the collapse of a society in this novel and i am interested in seeing how the author depicts this.

The fact that the book is not very long is a plus, as books about collapsing societies can get very painful to read, as sometimes there is too much doom and gloom.

Thanks for the review

I’m intrigued by the story, but I’m also deeply concerned about the story you described. I don’t know what to expect, but I know if there is any theme of conversion from her atheism, I’m going to be very disappointed with and angry at this book and idk, I’m just worried that it might happen.

Must be scary to be one of the twelve characters whose stories relate back to the realistic collapse of a society after an assassination! It would be interesting to see how the twelve stories relate to one another. Too bad that you don't really get to really know anyone and the errors included, but it's great to hear that this didn't deter from your enjoyment of the read! Thank you for the lovely review!

The political novels are good as they in most times connect with the history of a people. Well, I try to figure out what must have happened after the assassin had completed his mission. Thanks for a great review.
