This cozy thriller about a couple and the premise of never knowing what goes on behind closed doors seems like a fantastic story to read. Great review!

I like mysteries and this one has potential. I’m glad it’s light like Murder She Wrote which I remember watching . I am intrigued and want to know what happened to Tammy.

This is the story of Arnold and Tamara . To all appearances, the Westlakes are a sweet couple, content with each other, and with their quiet country life. Congratulations BOTD!

It appears that the book looks into the secrets that people keep hidden from the public eye. The mystery surrounding the events that occurred in a neighborhood will pique the interest of thriller readers.

I love a good mystery, but I’m unsure about the mundane details and how every fact is interwoven within the plot. I also was not a fan of admitting firsthand that the couple was experiencing issues. The readers should figure it out from context. Thank you for writing a captivating review!

The review is thorough and give a clear view of the book. Secrets and what we try to escape from often appear again in different ways. The ambiguity in the story and the suspense of events gives the impression that the book will be an enjoyable read. Good choice BOTD

I really appreciate a good mystery novel. The thrill of the domestic setting also adds a lot of suspense. Congratulations on book of the day!

I am not fond of a marriage life story as the tittle connotes, in my opinion, but reading the sample gave me a hint that there is a a sort of crime or mystery in the story. The review gave me a confirmation. The review also pointed out some out-of-purpose parts of the story or character development. Perhaps I would view it as something that makes the story longer than it should be. I could see from the sample that the description and development are long and detailed. Yet I thought that it is more of a positive attribute since it gives me more description and scenes that I could ponder about while digging the story to where it is heading. Perhaps I would agree that it would have been better not to state the cracks first before the outside appearance. But I would not mind, I think at this early stage since with the too-long details in the book, I know where I am heading. The title also gave a hint. The review gave me something to think about and added to my queries. Additionally, something in the names of the characters attracts me. Still nice!

Just from reading the details of the OBC official review, I don't think the Westlakes are as innocent as they are portrayed to be. I'm always down to read a suspense-driven novel whenever I happen to find one. Congrats to the author for having the BOTD. Truly, I cannot wait to read what is going on with these characters.

Your review of this book is so honest and refreshing, not to mention the fact that it is fairly spot on! This book reminds me of one of those novels you would by at the airport when you forget to bring a book of your own. It has great potential, but the writer needs to trim the fat! Even the reading the sample, the story came off as slow and dragging. Again, excellent job on writing a fair on honest review without being overly critical or harsh!

This sounds like a good book. I'm really interested with the characters. How do they grow as the story progress? I just have to read it, i guess. Thanks for the review.

“Fair Game Foul Play” by Daniel Pascoe is a mystery about the disappearance of Tamara Westlake, a beautiful woman that is married to Arnold. To the public they seem like a loving couple but behind the scenes there are problems. They both work outside their home and there are other men involved like a man from Tammy’s past that she keeps secret from Arnie and a wealthy womanizing property developer named Ben that happens to be Arnie’s golfing buddy. All of these facts need to be considered when Arnie reports his wife missing. As described by the official reviewer this is not a “who done it” but rather a “can they get away with it” plot. One needs to read the book to learn the outcome.

Thank you for this well written and detailed review about this mystery and dramatic book. Thank you also for your honesty in saying it had quite a bit of profanity. Great job!!

Pascoe has a good storyline, and I can imagine this book making a great movie. It’s less of a whodunnit than a “can they get away with it,” and Pascoe builds the tension nicely towards the end of his book.
- This got my attention. Hope its as good as this says it is. Great review. Thank you.

A well put review. I liked the honesty about a third of the book being left out, and it would never have been missed. Thank you for the review. I think I will skip this one.
