"Death Ray" by Tom King - A gripping espionage story with protagonist Mark Bronson discovering the death ray, a much sought after valuable new weapon. Mark Bronson's life changes and he is drawn into espionage at high levels. All this told in the first person and we get to see the development of Mark's character as he gets involved at high levels of government, with an action-packed plot. Thanks for the review.

I am not fond of audiobooks because I feel like I don't grasp the full concept of the story. I am on the fence about this one because I like fiction stories where the characters are well-developed. Good review.

I don't enjoy military books especially with gruelling plots as this. I don't think I'd read this one, but I'm sure, from your review, lovers of this genre would enjoy it. Thanks for your interesting review.

‪A death ray? Gee, that sounds pretty intriguing. I might have to check this one out. ‬

It seems the book is not for me. From the review, it's a military fiction
I never liked reading military or war stories but I guess the book would be loved by readers of war, military and crime stories
Thanks for your review.

What an interesting book this seems. With an actual scenario and current political references. Sometimes it seems that what we are living is fiction. But thankfully in this book what happens is. I don’t have a particular interest in audiobooks but I think on this one I will give it a try. Thank you for your review!

I have to admit, at first glance this book did not look like something I would be interested in reading. But it wasn't too far into the sample reading and I was hooked. Definitely will be adding this one to my reading list to find out what happens with Mark and his death ray invention.

Mark's character is what interests me with this book. He is a brave genius, not afraid to take risks. His personal life is also intersting. Thanks for the review.

While military and war stories aren't my thing, it sounds like the author has done an exceptional job in creating an intriguing plot with well-developed characters. Thanks for the lovely review.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting thriller novel about a man that discovers a death ray which leads to a rocky relationship with his girlfriend and a series of issues with the government and the political games that arise because of his "discovery." It might be worth a second look. Well done.

When I first looked t the cover of the book, I thought that the story would be about the United States military's liberal use of drones to fight terrorism. I was surprised that this was not the case instead it was more about how far military technology can go unchecked. I happen to like that this book does not name, but takes inspiration from a certain one term President. I understand that others may not like this fact, it does not bother me.

Thank you for your detailed review. Reading the sample, which is mostly not about the war was okay, but I don't believe I would like to read the entire book about the war. It was written very well, just not my type of book.

I think I'll pass on this one, although, I find Mark's story quite thrilling, giving the fact that his discovery of the death ray leads him to a stressful relationship with his girlfriend. Nice review by the way.
