Scott’s vivid, almost tactile descriptions of football, softball, biking, and swimming don’t just serve as backdrop but act as dynamic threads that enrich the plot, offering athletes and sports enthusiasts a unique lens into the characters’ passions and struggles.

The book seems to be all over the place and I'd like to believe there's a reason behind it. I will give it a chance. Thank you for the review.

Sometimes, what we think is a simple matter can become so completed that we are caught in a web we find hard to escape. The retired police officer in this story exemplifies this.

“Precision” by D. C. Scott sounds really exciting! I enjoy mystery books, and the idea of a retired cop digging into old cases sounds interesting. I would like to know if his mission was successful.

The book has an excellent plot and deals on solving murder cases. I love it and would love to read it. I am anticipatory on the outcome of those cases.

"Precision" has a strong plot and unique story idea. Even though the writing felt a bit rough and the constant shifts in perspective wer confusing. I still think readers who enjoy layered mysteries will find something to appreciate.

It looks like he was a very best police officer working faithfully in his job, as he is still able to come back even though he already retired. This circumstances of this past behaviour might work for him very well

I love adventure and mystery books, maybe this one is for me. However, I do not like books with so many characters, I am glad you have mentioned that the author does a good job describing them. I like how you have outlined the negative and positive aspects of the book without bias.

I do love romance, mystery, and adventure books, maybe this one is for me. However, I do not enjoy books with many characters because I tend to get bored easily. I am glad you mentioned that D. C. Scott has done a good job describing the characters, making it easy to understand the story. I must mention your careful assessment of the book, which allowed you to highlight its positive and negative aspects without bias. Good job!

“Precision” by D. C. Scott is the first in a series of five books. The story began with a retired police officer that was bored and needed excitement. With his experience in law enforcement, he found it by working on unsolved murder/suicide cases. These cases were obviously not simple open and shut cases or they would have been solved years ago. The author, D.C. Scott, based many of the cases on real life crimes. This is not a memoir of the author’s life; it is an intriguing story that provided very complete details about the victims and others that were a part of their lives. Murder mysteries usually have action and suspense but this story lacks these features until the end of the book when it became a sit on the edge on one’s seat suspense. I prefer mysteries that have plenty of action and suspense that keeps the reader guessing on who was the killer, why were the murders happening and how will this all end. The official reviewer found the erratic switching from one character’s perspective to another character’s perspective difficult to follow and recommends another round of editing. Hopefully, the second book in the series will reflect the feedback the author is receiving on this novel. It reminds me of an actor that decides to self-fund a series of 4 movies that he will star in after great success in many movies. The first movie did not meet expectations so the next three movies may never happen. The same can easily be true for a planned series of books. There are several outstanding authors that have written many very successful books in series with the same main character. i.e. Jack Reacher stories by Lee Child, Mitch Rapp stories by Vince Flynn, Lucas Davenport stories by John Sanford, Jack Ryan stories by Tom Clancy, Cotton Malone stories by Steve Berry, to name a few. Some of these series have as many as 65 books. One assessment I have made about these authors and their main characters is their first book was extremely successful. I hope D.C. Scott accepts the recommendations and the next book is amazing. I imagine authors like James Patterson who has written and published series like Alex Cross as well as books that stand on their own, is very good at planning out the several books before the writing begins.

I love crime and investigatory stories, and I'm ready to dive into this one. I love switching perspectives as long as I am able to understand the story, and this provides more information, keeping the reader ahead of the characters.
