It's so strange to see someone make such a big deal about being tussled. I wonder what made the author create a character so eager to be “tussled”. From the preview I read, it seemed like more of a romance novel although I'm not so sure I'd like to keep on reading it.

I'm not sure that a book can be considered intentionally boring, as that could sway people from reading it. I do like suspenseful romance stories, and this BOTD does sound like it holds both elements.

I think that this review portrays the book well. But I have to say that for me all the descriptions threw me off and took my interest away.

One thing that's always clear is the imagery. Rather than just detailing the scene, the author has a way of framing the picture. When Cindy is said to watch the folks come and go from various directions, I can really visualize the crowd and how animated it is. For a minute there, I felt just as lost in the crowd as Cindy appeared to have been.

Seems like the author got it right with description. This is something I actually appreciate when reading novels. Still, while I admit to being curious about "tussling", I'm not sure the plot is that interesting. I'll need to read a sample. Thanks for your review.

I have to agree with you when you say the beginning of the book is boring; I had a hard time following along because the details about the people testifying were not attention-grabbing by any means. Hopefully, the rest of the story provides more details about Cindy and her life as a stenographer. Thanks!

Sorry to say, but I failed to understand why this book is classified as C/T/M/H when in fact, reviewer is correct and it is romance novel and not overly original at that. Really not sure it is my cup of tea considering downsides mentioned, repetitions and scenes major among them. No offense, I will skip it, but congrats with BOTD anyway!
