This murder mystery sounds like it is well-written with believable dialogue, relatable characters, and the right amount of build-up in revealing the murderer. Great review!

I always enjoy reading a book with a developed and extended group of characters that make the world seem bigger than just the main cast, a thriller were anyone could be the killer sounds interesting.

The mystery surrounding Marissa's killer is intriguing. The diversity of characters and suspenseful actions are striking aspects. I hope Sean and Kayleigh have figured out who was the culprit.

Interesting. A suspenseful murder mystery when you don't know the suspect and everyone seems like to be the culprit. The plot is intriguing but not original. But I believe the author did a good job of developing the characters in this story. Thank you for a well-written review.

This well-crafted novel offers a captivating take on a world governed by women, complete with its unique laws and governance. The progression of events and the array of characters within the narrative managed to maintain my attention right until the conclusion. Without a doubt, it's a story that deserves your time and attention.

The narrative follows Sean Hightower, a rock musician striving to recapture the success of his one major hit, "Looking Glass." At the age of fifty, with two failed marriages behind him and a job at his father's used car dealership, he grapples with the overwhelming despair of his professional setbacks. His solace lies solely in the companionship of his girlfriend and colleague, Merissa. Tragically, when Sean returns home one evening to discover Merissa brutally assaulted and murdered, with the chilling message "Hello—Goodbye" scrawled on the wall nearby, he is pushed to the brink of contemplating suicide. However, these ominous words link the killer to a Beatles song and subsequently to a notorious serial murderer known for targeting women. This predator has already victimized seven women prior to Merissa. The detective handling the case hints that the killer might be someone Sean and Merissa are acquainted with.

It sounds like this book has some unexpected and well-developed characters. The plot sounds engaging; your review makes me curious about how Kayleigh's interaction with Sean fuels his desire to find the killer. I love a good mystery and hope the ending is unpredictable! Enjoyed your review, thank you!

The way you described Sean's determination to find the serial killer as akin to "walking on thin ice" adds a layer of tension to the plot, making it even more engaging. It's also great to hear that the book was well-edited, ensuring a smooth and comprehensible reading experience.

The author does a good job of providing depth to the main characters through conversation in the opening sections, which makes it a thread of the story rather than stopping to tell the reader Sean’s backstory. However, I did find this a bit long-winded at the same time. Interesting in connecting the murders to Beatles songs.

Sounds like my kind of book! I'm curious as to who murdered Merrisa and what the connection is between her and cancer patient Kayleigh. Sean seem like an interesting character. Great review!
