Such a direct review! I could immediately get back to the environment the book hosts as you read it. It was quite accurate but maybe a little bit harsh.

Thanks for the interesting review. This sounds like a book that I would enjoy overall but I do think that some of the things you pointed out will rub me the wrong way. Profiling isn't an exact science and for the character to ALWAYS be right just damages the story and takes the character from believable and real to fake.

Very good point about the parallel points of view that hides deux ex machina.

This definitely sounds like a very intriguing book to read. I am a huge fan of crime novels and crime suspense and I am an avid fan of the show Dexter, so I feel like this might be an interesting read. Great review!

I like murder mysteries but I don't like serial killers. I will probably skip this one. But congratulations on being book of the day.

I think Brian Gallagher's Serial K has an
impressive plot. However, crime and investigation narratives are outside my reading interests. The review is nicely written.

I am a fan of crime stories, which I tend to label as horror when there is a serial killer involved (horror is a favorite genre). So, I think I will enjoy this, as you did, despite its faults. After all, if the creepy character at the heart of the story is done well, I feel it can't be much of a miss. Thanks for your insightful critique of this book. Very helpful!

I already thought I would pass on this one, based on reading the sample. Add in your comment on crass, juvenile humor and this one is definitely not my taste. Thanks for the review.

I don’t think I’d like this one. But I did enjoy the review. It would drive me crazy to read about their meals. Like when people put pictures of their food on Facebook. Why?
