This is a fiction novel that is not that far from reality. With this watch, people are able to get a “final notice” before their time is up. While some people use this notice to give to charity and spend time with their loved ones, others decide to settle scores and take revenge because they know they will not be alive to deal with the consequences. It leaves you with a lot to think about. It is a story that will stay with readers. If you are pro-gun ownership, I suggest you steer clear of this novel, and this book does include school shootings:
These mass shootings really are a thing there. The interesting phenomenon is always the one that deviates from normalcy. And thank you for notifying about the pro-gun or pro-ban, but I think both ways could be of interest to the pro-or-not.

:| I like this science fiction story.
I really enjoyed it. I is mind blowing. What people will do with their time, if they knew that they only had a few hours to live. Ohhh my God!

I love the book's plot because it brings about people doing what they love knowing when they will die, unlike the reality where one can lose someone anytime. On the other hand, there's the part where people have revenge on others because they know they won't face the consequences of their actions. The ownership of a gun is somewhat of a debate for me, it's useful for protection but can bring harm to people when used wrongly. I love the review as well.Thank you :D

Thank you for your review of this original thriller. "Final Notice" addresses the age old questions of how wildly different people react to predictions of their death. I like how the main gadget and catalyst of the story is a sports watch which predicts how long people may live. Overall, this novel is written as a dark and violent satire, where the US pro-gun lobby's promotion of guns for seniors mixes with the gadget's disruptive effects. The review says the author tries to answer some of the ethical questions that are posed by the novel, so I want to find out for myself.

It feels quite creepy to think that an electronic device can foretell death. Come to think of it, it will give people the license to act howsoever they wish during their final days, and with a gun in hand there's no telling what they might do!

The author presents a fascinating and thought-provoking narrative centered on a device that predicts a person's final days based on health monitoring. The plot is compelling, and the characters are multidimensional, making the story an engaging exploration of mortality, ethics, and the consequences of knowing one's end. Congrats on BOTD.

Death is an occurrence that most people don't welcome, but have to face. I guess it would be much better if one could know when it would show up. And then what? I like that this book answers that question, using different characters facing the 'death sentence'. Though this is fiction, I believe that science is not far from making it a reality.
