Book Review: (b)(i)All Good Things, by Rosemary Reeve

This is a really good mystery that kept me on the edge of my seat. I am very glad to give (b)(i) All Good Things a (b)4 out of 4 star rating. As for errors, I think I saw maybe a couple of typos, but still I think the story is very well written. I've always loved a good mystery, and, this is certainly one. It would indeed make a very good mystery movie. If it hasn't already. I would recommend this book to all mystery lovers.

The author gets right into it. No beating around the bush. You immediately hear about a murder being committed. Everyone thinks that Harmony is the victim. Jack doesn't want to believe she is dead. He cares about her, and wants to believe she is still alive. Of course, later, you find out the victim wasn't actually her. So the story keeps you guessing as corpses keep popping up, and, pieces of the puzzle slowly come together. But, even so, the murderer is still not revealed until the end.

Actually, though, there were too many suspects that one would think was the killer. I found it hard to guess who the culprit was. What was Oden up to? What was Janet's story? The author did a really good job of keeping you wondering and guessing. And I really liked the way she kept things moving right along, no time to get bored. Imagine my surprise, not to mention Jack's, when we found out he had a half brother.

His dog, Betsy, adds a bit of humor with her doggy antics. So we have not only a mystery but some comedy thrown in as well. I thought it hilarious that Jack kept getting pounced upon even though he thought they had gotten past that point in their relationship. That little canine has a few antics that certainly keep you laughing, while, at the same time, you are trying to solve the mystery.

Yes, I certainly enjoyed this mystery, and would like read another by the same author sometime. It is one that keeps you wanting to keep reading and not ever lay it down for anything. So I recommend you get everything done before you start!
