“The Dark Web Murders “ Book 4 of The Inspector Sheehan Mysteries by Brian O'Har
“The Dark Web Murders” by Brian O'Har is a murder suspense novel that really grabs your attention. It is book 4 of The Inspector Sheehan’s Mysteries series and will not disappoint Brian O’Har fans! It is about a detective and his team in search of a serial killer. Not for the faint of heart but an excellent story of a serial murderer seeking justice, and seeking revenge, and those that plan to bring him down! I would definitely rate this book with 4 stars out of 4 stars! For the crime thriller readers, it is a must read. I would recommend only adult readers.
The story begins with an introduction to the cast of characters which proves to be very helpful as you read the book. It was nice knowing who all the characters are as you read it to put the story in proper perspective. It is something I feel was a huge help and recommend others use this addition to their books when the book is involved with so many characters.
The killer NEMEIN likes posting a blog of his deeds on the Dark Web, which one of the detectives found while searching the internet, Because the blog was posted on the dark web, it became known as “The Dark Web Murders”! The killer post details about his kills each time a new one occurs. He wants people to know what he is doing and that it is, to him, his way of seeking Justice. In the blog however, he does not explain his motive. The blog post are extremely detailed and disturbing. Thanks to the blogs, the detectives are aware of a victim even before the body is located. They are also aware of the steps the murderer takes to make his victim die exactly the way he wants. This story takes you along for the ride of the search for a serial killer and during this search, a ride through some of the sickest most depraved individuals ever to exist. It leads you through a club that’s’ menu is as sick and deranged as the people who frequent it. Greed, depravity and corruption go hand and hand throughout this story. The depravity and the sorrow will send you through a whirlwind of emotions!
The background of the story is very important in the beginning however you do not realize that it actually is the beginning of this tale of woe and torment. The innocence and the wickedness create an atmosphere of taboo mixed with the law enforcement having to figure out how all the victims are related and that in its self is a puzzle that is not easily seen.
The characters are very realistic and very relatable. You will love and admire some. You will despise some of them. The book was extremely well edited so grammar does not create distraction.
The story will keep you reading. It was hard to put the book down and the ending will really surprise you! Twice I thought I knew who the killer was but was completely wrong! The twist really was a shocker! If you like a good thriller, you will love this book!
I strongly recommend this thriller to anyone who likes suspense, murder, mayhem and drama!!! The author stands true to form and does not let the reader down!
